Don't Attack Lefty Human Shields
FRONTPAGEMAG ^ | February 21, 2018 | Daniel Greenfield

Posted on 02/22/2018 6:26:53 AM PST by Subcutaneous Fishstick Blues

Remember Sandra Fluke?

The Democrats brought her in to undermine religious freedom with a ridiculous story about being unable to afford birth control. They brought her in because she was an earnest, young woman. And a human shield. Republicans should have ignored her. Instead they attacked her. And that made her a celebrity and a victim. Soon she was the young woman who had been called a "slut".

Fluke rode that to a speaking gig at the DNC, where she claimed to represent all women, and several attempts to run for Congress.

Most importantly, the left got to shift the conversation from the religious freedom of nuns to whether the right hates female sexuality. That's exactly the conversation it wanted to have.

It happened because Republicans took the bait. Never take the bait unless you have a plan.

President Trump brought a lot of guests to the State of the Union. Democrats didn't attack them. They ignored them. (Some did in private and on Twitter, but not in ways that would get them noticed in a media environment controlled by them. Yes, it's an unfair double standard, but that's the structural power differential.)

When you attack someone like that, you shoot yourself in the foot. And you kickstart an activist's career.

That's especially true when you're dealing with teens who have little life experience and whose politics will change three of four times in the next decade. No, 16-year-olds shouldn't vote. The only people who think they should are very confident about controlling their votes. But neither should they be in the middle of a rough political game. The left is using them as human shields. The way that the Taliban and other Islamic terrorists hide behind human shields. Don't attack the shields. When you do, the guys behind them win because, unlike Afghanistan, this is a 'Hearts and Minds' war.

Now maybe it's inescapable. The media was always going to write this narrative. But the smart way is to go after the men behind the curtain, not the teens in front of it.

Pull back the curtain on the Everytown scam. Make it clear that it all comes down to Bloomberg. Challenge the hypocrisy of George Clooney and Oprah, who have armed guards, funding protests to disarm ordinary Americans.

Pick the terrain you fight on. Don't let the left pull you into the battles it wants to fight.

Agreed. While not trying to destroy them at that personal level, I’ve tried to point out elsewhere in particular about David Hogg’s media background and also that his father is a retired FBI agent who most recently served in the jurisdiction that could and quite possibly should have stopped Cruz’s legal firearms acquisitions as they most certainly knew about his history of reported violent behaviour. It really makes the “lights, camera, action” antics of activists look that way and that they are doing this to protect a system that’s in turn protecting many higher ups despite being a great deal responsible for last week’s horror.

I hear you and don’t disagree. The problem I see is that a high percentage of today’s younger people are disconnected from God, natural law, truths and realities, critical thought. Purposely, to do exactly what they’re doing now.

They have been indoctrinated to a cult-like level (from pubic school, TV, movies, social media, college, workplace) into cultural Marxism. Political correctness. Sensitivity training and concensus building. White guilt. So, we’re not dealing with people with the sensibilities of, say, 1940. They’re emotion-driven.

Our approach to these youth needs to be carefully considered. Or, maybe, mentally brutal, shock and awe. Who knows?

"Hitting the cute puppets is a no win."

True. much as I used to (and might still) feel the urge to do that.

"Knockout the puppeteers."

Somebody here gets it. Or as Daniel put it:
"...the smart way is to go after the men behind the curtain, not the teens in front of it."

Exactly. Because even if you successfully attack these teens (which is unlikely, given the media) causing them to give up, the men behind the curtain are still there, and have the resources to go find another batch of puppets.

And if you expose the men behind the curtain, haven't you effectively discredited the teens as being mere puppets?

The men behind the curtain have been there a long time. We’re new in this fight. Some reading:

“Critical Theory was essentially destructive criticism of the main elements of Western culture, including Christianity, capitalism, authority, the family, patriarchy, hierarchy, morality, tradition, sexual restraint, loyalty, patriotism, nationalism, heredity, ethnocentrism, convention and conservatism.”

http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/viewSubCategory.asp?id=552

“And, a new Dark Age is exactly what we are in. In such situations, the record of history is unequivocal: either we create a Renaissance—a rebirth of the fundamental principles upon which civilization originated—or, our civilization dies.”

I’ve said it for years: To the Left, children are nothing more than Legislative Human Shields.

RE:”I simply don’t think the human shields in this case should be left alone.
It doesn’t mean we have to have ad hominem attacks on them, because unlike real human shields, these “kids” have made a choice to enter this arena, and are doing so solidly on the side of enemies of America.”

The human Shield analogy applies to public figures like media types on FNC and those elected like Trump. Notice no insulting tweets by Trump on them, he has been warned.

It doesn't apply to anonymous posters as yourself.

You can post whatever you want regarding them (to extent allowed on this site).

Its not the same.

Maybe conservative media’s greatest value today is in identifying, isolating, illuminating and ridiculing the people behind the curtain?

Its weakness is in failing to show it cares in instances where liberals do. It has a single refrain: you shoulda, you shoulda, you shoulda.

I agree. Expose the hypocritical adults aND media and call them out for scripting these kids’ voices.

This article advocates surrender.

Nope....this article is a "smart battle plan" when you are dealing with the slime pits of people like Pelosi, Obama, Clinton, Schumer, etc

If you are just a "Joe Schmoe", who doesn't pay much attention to the political games going on (and there are a lot more of them than you would think) when you attack the kids, they shut you out because you are "mean" and "heartless".

The SOBs want to "use children" for their propaganda? Fine, I'll shine a light on how they are "using children" and "harming them" without worrying about the damage they leave behind.

Starting sentence has been "I want to know who is behind abusing those traumatized children and why aren't their parents protecting them? Look at those poor babies....they are so traumatized, they are crying/shaking/shouting like they are about to break...... and the ghouls are throwing microphones in their faces and making them talk about it."

Works to start the conversation every time....

It also doesn't hurt to discuss the fact that the shooter seemed to have some type of "anger/rage" that led him to "break" and murder people.....and why would these kids parents/handlers want to fill these "victims" up with similar feelings instead of working with professionals to help them deal with their grief in a positive way? (But you have to be careful how you form this question so it doesn't sound like you are saying they will be our next shooters....just why is having that kind of rage a "good thing" for a child?)

BTW, it helps to understand that these ARE just kids. Doesn't matter if they have been indoctrinated or not. They are just IGNORANT kids who "trust" the adults around them...and have been brainwashed into thinking they are going to save the world. Shine light on the "handlers" and you can get even a "non political" Dem to start questioning what they are seeing.......

I understand that distinction you make, but I do believe Greenfield’s admonition was meant for the entire spectrum on the right, it is good advice overall expecially the “Pick the terrain you fight on. Don’t let the left pull you into the battles it wants to fight” quote. (that actually sounds REALLY good, but how often does OUR side get to pick the terrain. THEY spend a lot of time choosing and grooming the terrain.

Like you, I would HOPE that this wouldn’t even need to be openly stated to the people who count, and that those same people wouldn’t have to be told to go after the “handlers” or people using the shields. But I won’t hold my breath, unless it is Trump that does it, because very few others have shown the gumption or inclination to do so.

“Its (conservatism’s) weakness is in failing to show it cares in instances where liberals do.”

My take: We know we care and we assume caring is inherent in everyone; so, it’s display needn’t be a primary act. Rather, we focus on causes and solutions. Venus/Mars, I guess: The woman cries, the man gets the perp. Both care equally.

Thanks...I think we all agree here that it is their inclination to put us into a sack we won’t be able to get out of, and it is our task to get OUT of that sack.

Kind of like amphibious troops who have to get out of the boats and off the beach before they can fight.

Yes.

Right now the leading edge of the battle is bypassing the media filters and then to stop the election fraud and to win strong control politically. We can do it, if we are committed to do it.

“Shine the light on the handlers... “ Agree!

Also, put a direct burden back onto those handlers: Out of their great caring, we can expect to soon see security improvements that directly and rapidly affect school and student safety, including a closed campus, entry limitations, armed guards, metal detectors, backpack inspections and restrictions, and more.

Let them feel some direct loss of liberty in the name of safety.

Oh, the RATS attacked Trump’s guests. They publicly refuted them by refusing to applaud or stand for them.

Awwww, their refusal to accept any of the above security measures (no matter the excuse used) is a humdinger for discussion. And while your statement is accurate...and how you and I talk......

I tend to address it in a tongue in cheek "liberal" manner with the opposing side: "What? I don't understand. We HAVE to do EVERYTHING to protect these children NOW, just like these traumatized kids demand. (wringing my hands) How does refusing security measures at schools reflect that? I mean, we all know that it will take weeks, or even a year, to get guns off the street if Congress passes that law. Are they (Dems) REALLY willing to leave our babies defenseless against "guns" (the big boogeyman) til then? Do they EVEN CARE....... or is this just a way to get votes?"

It's going to take a LONG time to de-program Americans from the Socialist/Communist propaganda.....and we are going to have to use "their tools" to accomplish the mission, IMHO.
