I made the mistake of looking at her Instagram account- wow. Looks like nobody ever told her she was wrong, ugly or stupid and she believes everything everyone has ever said to her about how wonderful she is.

When athletes, celebrities, etc. start making political statements and possibly ticking off around 50% of their supporters you’re finding out there’s some backlash.
We can add golfer Rory McIlroy to the list. And, to my pleasure, Rory is also suffering from the “Trump Curse”. Rory couldn’t sink a putt if the hole was the size of a garbage can.

Lindsey Vonn is a fierce competitor and a great champion skier, and by all accounts she is a good sportsman and a very nice person. I do not wish ill for her. That said, she provoked a backlash and I’ll bet she wishes she could take back her angry words against the president. Vonn had the entire country on her side until she chose to offend half its people. Shut up and ski, indeed.
