The other networks have deferred to NBC by broadcasting rerun programs.
It might be interesting to find out whether entire TV network viewing was down or just the Olympics channel.
In the 60s and 70s the broadcast networks were cut-throat. If one had a special event, the others would compete with new near-first-run movies and mini-series. Now, they all seem to sink together.

Vonn and the two hateful faggots bashing Trump and Pence are keeping me far away. It is always ugly when the self-loathing of homosexuals is turned outward. They hate the very people - rooted in God’s love - who could heal them from the horrible abuse they suffered, like Pence.

I was surprised that they wrote that people will tune in to watch Lindsey...when it was already reported that she didn’t do well.

Too much talking about nothing, i.e., “interviews”; “personal interest stories”, NBC talking heads just getting their faces and PC opinions on the air.
Too much PC crap, even in the commercials.
Too much Trump bashing.

This household hasn’t watched a single second of the olympics. The politics has become unbearable. It’s everywhere. And it all slants in one direction.
The Olympics isn’t on any of this household’s tvs due to the uber liberal athletes running their mouths against Trump and conservatives.
Lindsey Vonn’s zero medals. Oh, well. We don’t feel the least bit sorry.

No Olympics here. Have quit HGTV because of all the gays. Found ID recently and am enjoying it. Gruesome at times but interesting.
Adam Rippon should have concentrated on his skating vs. concentrating on his gayness. Nobody tunes into the Men's final long program for Gold, in Figure Skating, to listen to some idiot, and I do mean idiot, spout off his politics.

I have another omment, which might go along with this. WHERE are the U.S. athletes?
I have watched sports this Olympics where the U.S. would usually have a strong prescence and they just aren't there --- or, the number of competitors are not there.
I have to wonder if all these years of telling young people that everybody is special, and competition is not good, only cooperation. Now, cooperation is important; but, I think we are no longer competitive because we are no longer competitive. We don't COMPETE. Everybody gets a medal. I don't know, maybe I'm stretching; but, I just wonder if we no longer have that drive to be the best.
Well, then, you and I are both petty. I was hoping for Adam Rippon to fall on his gay ass. I was glad when he was out of the running; and, I could not believe the crap I was hearing from the announcers as they were telling us deplorables that Rippon was skating for so much more than a medal. OMG!
If I hadn't been waiting to see that young Japanese skater, I would have turned it off right then and there.
The guy who invented the Mute button for the t.v. remote should win a prize.

At this moment on NBC there is (make that WAS, I switched it off) a feature about a gay snowboarder - all LGBTQ, politics, and preaching. It had nothing to do with his sport or how well (or in his case, how poorly) he did in his event.
Yes, it’s no wonder the ratings are low. I’m sure they’ll go lower during the next week.
There have been plenty of gay American athletes at the Olympics at the past. They might have been closeted or just quiet about their lifestyle. Why do we have to hear about this Adam character’s sexuality non-stop (I know why; it’s a rhetorical question)? More attempts to mainstream that which is actually aberrant.
Not only the continual gay slobbering by the enemedia, but this entire US team, largest ever, is terrible and is winning very few events. They for the most part, simply suck.
