I bet if I search my memory far enough back, I can remember when the FBI actually went after communists in America. We even had congressional committees investigating Un-American (communist) activities. I can even remember a TV series in the 50's called "I Led Three Lives" about a guy working undercover for the FBI against communist infiltrators. And I'm pretty sure that J. Edgar Hoover was always going after communist plotters. Say, is it a figment of my imagination or wasn't it once illegal to be a communist in America?

I don’t believe it was ever technically *illegal* to be a member of the Communist Party. It was for all intents and purposes completely marginalizing yourself from any gainful employment except academia or the entertainment industry(oops, did I repeat myself?), but I don’t think it was ever actually illegal to belong to the CPUSA; it was illegal to belong and lie on any kind of application.
At least as far as I recall.

We can thank the Frankfurt School and its "missionaries" like Herbert Marcuse, as well as the Rockefeller Foundation which financed them, for that.
I do recall that Hoover seemed to be firmly anti-commie.
However, the globalist oligarchy was active then, as well. Is it conceivable that there were factions within the FBI or if not the FBI, within the Federal umbrella, which were working in behalf of the communist goals of the globalists?
e.g. where did the Congressional umph come for shutting down McCarthy?
Or, was McCarthy a set-up to be soooo extremely intense in his commie sleuthing etc. that people could be expected to rise up against him?
Personally, even then, he seemed to act like a patriotic hero, to me. But I had very conservative parents.
There have been indications for several decades that the FBI has been corrupted if not turned far too comprehensively to globalist traitor sorts of goals and operations.
Their involvement in false flags is but one clue of that, imho.
And that report 30+ years ago of the senior FBI official who stumbled on the red list--finding his name on it as a Christian was a real shocker (the red list = for immediate execution when the full bore overt globalist take over was implemented).
I just think that FR is one of the few large, diverse, motivated patriotic orgs with the brainpower, interest, motivation to help rescue our Republic at this late stage. THANKS FOR THAT, Sir.
Average citizens already convinced that the media told the truth from a young age.
Perhaps particularly adults in the 1950's too overly focused on personal priorities and too easily trusting of Dear Old Uncle Sam in all Uncle's manifestations and sub-units.
And the Christian church for not walking close enough to God to Hear His Holy Spirit alert us more clearly to the evils flooding the land.

Same here. The “foulness” within the FBI didn’t just happen overnight, it has been brewing since way back when. The “good guys” have been out numbered by the bad.
One needs to be a bit careful what is posted on this and any other site, the FBI still exists. Nothing would surprise me to read that someone got dragged off.

I remember the same from the DoD.
While the DoD still has many high-level people (Those who weathered the storm) who still know that Communism is the enemy, they would have had more power than they demonstrated during Obama’s term to do something about it.
So I doubt many of those people are there anymore.

I disagree that McCarthy went over the top and poisoned things.
McCarthy did during the years from 1950-1953 what we wish Trump would do now on a variety of issues. He grasped those issues, grappled with them tooth and nail against the most powerful people, did it all by himself, and doggedly would not relent. They eventually killed him.
The vision of McCarthy we have been fed for most of our lives by schools, media, and the history books was a picture painted by, framed by, and presented by the Left. It is flat out wrong and unfair.
And, like Leftists of today, the Leftists then who were protecting Communists in our government (including Harry Truman) unfairly accused McCarthy of EXACTLY what they themselves were doing.
Joseph McCarthy was an American hero, and he should have been treated as such.
J. Edgar Hoover was standing up for this country when a supposedly anti-Communist stalwart like Harry Truman and fledgling “rock ribbed conservative Democrat” Scoop Jackson were doing all they could to shield various communists in our government, because they made the calculation that the Democratic Party was more important that the security of our country.
Three words: Harry Dexter White.

McCarthy was right.
It's illegal to advocate the violent overthrow of the government in America.
Similarly, it's also illegal to implement any number of Communist ideas which are in direct contradiction to the Constitution and Unalienable Rights—infringing on the Right of Individuals to Keep and Bear Arms, for instance.
The Democrats are perfectly happy to push America to the brink of civil war, gambling the stability of our society on the idea that Americans would submit to Leftist Tyranny rather than resorting to violence to prevent it. They are dead wrong in such a notion, of course, and they will find—to their chagrin—that they are in a distinct minority to entertain such whimsy.
The days of the Left's total control over the Media are long since passed. The only power that remains to them is that associated with the Mainstream Media, which has effectively become a Ministry of Propaganda to low information Americans. Their influence wanes with each passing day, as those who wish to know the truth of things avail themselves of the many ways of finding it. Low information Americans won't be the ones who fight—they will simply await the outcome of those who are willing to fight for Freedom—or against it.
Eventually, the coup which is still attempting to subvert our Constitutional system will ultimately fail. Hopefully, it will be repudiated via peaceful means—but the Constitution willbe vindicated, and the Enemy will be defeated, regardless of whether the means are peaceful or not. That I can tell you. It will be a cold day in Hell before a bunch of Left wing Propagandists will be permitted to destroy this Republic.

Around 1894, the early Fabian Marxists rejected the revolutionary doctrine part of Marxism, recommending instead a gradual transition to a socialist society.
The primary focus for the Fabians was to control education systems to create the socialist utopia...This is in fact the long, long strategy they implemented.
The U.S. in 1897 created an innocuous, non-cabinet-level office called "The Office of Education".
In 1946 the Fabians accomplished another part of their strategy when HST signed the National School Lunch Act into law. This was the first significant camels' nose into the education tent.
The 2nd (and even more significant) camels' nose appeared when the SCOTUS decided to deconstruct (through busing) our society and culture more directly.
The final nail in our former culture and the former public education system was driven in by the peanut farmer, in 1979, when the cabinet-level Dept of Education was created with the sole goal of driving the socialist revolution through elimination of parental control of the former public school systems.
The final history of how we lost (probably forever) the Constitutional Republic should reflect these four (4) critical points...
I also remember when the US Government gave me the training, and, issued me the weaponry to KILL those Godless bastards...

He earned a rightful reputation of trying to do what could have been done by the power of God by the power of man.
He did not understand that Satan could turn around a shaming campaign carried on by the power of man, and do so in a New York minute.
