" Yesterday, she was murdered by a gun at her high school in Parkland Florida."

"Why is your hunting hobby more important than my niece’s life? Don’t you see that your “second amendment” rights have been twisted and distorted beyond any rational interpretation? Why should my niece have been sacrificed at the altar of your “freedoms?”"

Hmmmm. Like I said, put the AR on trial and let the poor innocent cruz kid go. Hunting "hobby" and 2nd amendment? Yeah, I understand the person grieving but with her mind set, I'd probably deny her purchasing a weapon. Guess she doesn't realize that "infringe" has been distorted beyond any rational interpretation. I know, BUT BUT BUT the NRA.

I won’t give up my firearm because some mental defective murdered your niece anymore than I would give up my car if some wetback ran her over.

Your “logic” has been distorted, lady.

Here's how she should be "lashing out":

Cut the Crap: We Need Full Constitutional Carry, Several Dozen Insane Asylums, and a FULL BAN ON ANTIDEPRESSANTS.

Why was your niece sacrificed at the altar of your delusions?

PROTECT THE F???IN SCHOOLS

Grieving does not give one a license to be an idiot and spread misinformation.

“Why should my niece have been sacrificed at the altar of your “freedoms?””

Because we don’t wish to live in a soviet union style society- that’s why-

" Yesterday, she was murdered by a gun at her high school in Parkland Florida."

Nope. She was murdered by an evil person. The gun was merely the tool.

Understood. But, would you lash out at the tool or the tool that did it. I knew five people that died from self inflicted GSWs and one who died from a negligent discharge. Do I blame the firearms? Nope. That may be a high number for me compared to most folks but it’s true.

Why don’t you trust our police to protect us from crime?

In other words, why do we need the right to keep and bear arms?

The AR-15 could not, did not kill the niece. Nikolas Cruz did. The weapon was without any volition of its own.

It is as senseless to blame “guns” for homicides, as it is to blame all persons with the surname “Cruz” for pulling the trigger.

Correlation is not causation.

The collective only sees collective guilt. Individuals who commit atrocities are merely aberrations, little disturbances in the Borg mindset - quickly forgotten because the collective guilt must be harshly dealt with to maintain equilibrium.

That’s what all the b*tching and hysteria is really about. It’s like an anthill that’s been kicked open. They have to quickly “resolve” the problem and get back to status quo.

Me too. But not at freedom loving Constitution loving Americans.

I’d be lashing out at the FBI and other authorities that let this lunatic slip through their fingertips. Cruz - like other mass murderers before him was well known to the FBI and other agencies as a serious threat.

Yet they seem more pre-occupied at taking down Donald Trump than they do in enforcing the law.

“”Why is your hunting hobby more important than my niece’s life?”

Because we don’t wish to live in a soviet union style society- that’s why-

We’re very sorry for your loss, but the FACT is that bad things happen to good people- and you do NOT fix this by taking rights away from all the good people because something bad happened to someone you love- IF your school had cared about your niece, they would have had metal detectors on school- AND loads of armed personnel- not less armed persons- Millions and millions of good people own and use guns every day and help protect this country from armed scum like the shooter- IF you disarm the good people because something tragic happened to someone you loved, as it seems you are advocating for- Your relatives will be less safe, not safer-

The police aren’t going to be there to help you- we just got a very powerful demonstration of that- Do you not see that? Had there been armed guards though, things could have been much less tragic-

No Maam, the answer is not disarming good citizens- the answer is not violating their second amendment rights to self protection- the answer lies elsewhere- Again, we are very sorry for your loss but We do not wish to live under dictatorship rule in our free society simply because a madman- an evil person, murdered people- We reserve the right, as a free and sovereign people, to own guns for our own protections- Something that is NOT available to those living under brutal dictatorships, and which separates us from despotic regimes across the globe

Why don’t you trust our police to protect us from crime?

Do you have a fire extinguisher in your house? If so, why?

Don't you trust our fire department to protect us from fires?

I am sorry for her loss. But she doesn't know it isn't a hunting hobby that the 2nd Amendment is there for. The 2nd Amendment is there to protect us against people who have a great deal in common ideologically with her, from thugs who want to kill us and take our money, to bureaucrats who want to enfeeble us and lord over us.

I am giving her the benefit of the doubt and assuming she doesn’t really know, and that hunting is the main reason the 2nd Amendment exists. I will assume she is like many people who just lap up what the left has spoon fed her.
