Transgender woman breastfeeds baby in first recorded case, study says(Hurl alert)

A transgender woman has been able to breastfeed a baby in the first recorded case of its kind, researchers say.

The 30-year-old wanted to breastfeed after her pregnant partner said she did not want to do it herself, according to the Transgender Health journal.

She was able to breastfeed after taking a course of drugs and breast pumping, the US case report said.

A UK expert said the "exciting" research could lead to more cases of transgender women breastfeeding. The woman had been on hormone replacement therapy for six years, but had not gender reassignment surgery, when she approached doctors with the aim of breastfeeding the child.

Before the baby was born, doctors put her on a three-and-a-half-month course of treatment to help her artificially produce milk, usually given to women who have adopted babies or who have them via surrogates.

This included breast pumping, taking hormones produced by biological mothers, a drug which can stimulate milk production and a male hormone blocker.

As a result, the woman was able to produce a "modest but functional" amount of breast milk - some 8oz a day.

Researchers said this was the baby's only source of nutrition for its first six weeks, during which time her growth, feeding and bowel habits were "developmentally appropriate".

After this, the baby also started having formula milk because not enough breast milk was being produced.

The baby is now six months old and she continues to be breastfed as part of her diet, the study's authors said.

Dr Channa Jayasena, a senior lecturer at Imperial College who specialises in reproductive endocrinology, said the research was an "exciting development".

He said he had heard of a few cases in the UK of transgender women being helped to breastfeed, but until now no report has been published.

8oz/day is minuscule....less than a single ounce per 2hr pumping....rather pathetic.

I have seen many women generate 70oz/day+

A drug known as Domperidone will initiate lactation, even in some males. It is an anti-emetic drug to halt vomiting. It also has the side effect of dramatically increasing prolactin levels in many people.

The milk duct system is tiny in most males. This can be developed through pumping or the administration of estrogen and progesterone...but few if any males can develop stage 4 breasts.

Milk production is only slightly related to breast size...it is the milk duct system that is important.

I doubt I have ever met a male that could handle the commitment to pumping every 2 hours! It becomes the only thing on your mind...not to mention the getting up in the middle of the night to do it.

The Left is trying hard to make normal people give up their natural binary gender identities.

Some Muslim countries like Iran sort of encourage male homosexuals to go trans. Once officially women, they don’t have to be crushed under walls for having sex with men.

Google said a 1 month old drinks peak 30 oz breast milk per day. So, either this tranny’s lying about “exclusively breastfeeding,” or this infant was starved.
What’s the nutritional analysis of this drugged breast milk? Is it comparable to women’s breast milk?

I read on Google that a 1 month infant drinks peak 30 oz of breast milk per day, which means this tranny’s lying that he exclusively breastfed.

Gotta look this up, but this article said a transgender doesn’t produce colostrum, which I think is where the immune benefits come from with breast feeding. If this is true, that means there was no benefits from him breast feeding, besides the introduction of the drugs to the infant.

Yup, 8oz is a joke.

Some women pump with two 10oz bottles and fill them at each pumping.

This is exceptional though.

Max usable is for two babies at once...more is an anomaly.

But breastmilk can be shared and is valuable for babies whose mother cannot produce.

My hat is off for moms who pump and donate to a milk bank.

I would guess that the milk is comparable.

But I would advise strongly against taking anything more than a minimal dose of conjugated estrogen while breastfeeding.

Conjugated estrogen is from natural sources and is identical to that naturally in the bloodstream of a nursing mom.

Conjugated estrogen comes from pregnant mares and is marketed under the brand name Premarin.

The milk is pulled from the bloodstream, everything needed is in the blood....also everything NOT wanted like hormones and caffeine...etc

If I was a young adult becoming aware that I was fed man-milk as an infant, I think I would just end it.

This might seem to satisfy the perverts' lust for "affirmation," but they are demanding even more. There is serious discussion and inquiry into uterus transplants into men with the intent to "carry" a child.

This is Nazi experimentation all over again. "Never again" didn't take.

TOTAL LIARS!!

By four days of age the baby gets about 30 ml (1 ounce) per feeding. On the fifth day the baby gets about 45 ml (1 ½ ounces) per feeding. By two weeks of age the baby is getting 480 to 720 ml (16 to 24 oz.) per day. By one month of age the baby is getting 750 to 800 ml of breast milk per day. (Babycenter.com)

And with a straw.

Who knew this would be an actual news report although I doubt the scientist and results involved.
