Was the presidential portrait of Barack Obama made in China?
Sources say artist Kehinde Wiley — who painted the former president before a background of greenery and flowers — has studios in China and produces most of his work there.
“It’s his base of operation,” said art critic Charlie Finch, who has known Wiley and appreciated his talent since they were students at Yale. “He has dozens of assistants working for him.”
While Obama sat for Wiley for several hours, the portrait may have been sent to China to be completed.
“Normally, Wiley sketches out the important parts, and assistants fill out the rest,” Finch told me.

Hard to believe that arteest has studio(s) and assistant(s). From the looks of the Obama portrait I would have assumed the artist was still in 11th grade.
It’s an invasive sperm; Fish & Wildlife will be on the case ASAP.

Lets face it.
The Obamas are creepy and obtuse.
Considering it's Bareback Obama, I'd expect the sperm to be somewhere else.
So the “artist” was too lazy to paint the background leaves himself so he hired more artistic hacks to clone the foliage, as shown elsewhere.
They do have assembly lines where they will crank out oil paintings quickly and cheap. Each artist paints an element of the painting and then passes it on to the next artist who adds their piece etc. I guess this is how Barack ends up with 6 fingers. smh.
