And the NBC producers who decide every day to fail to tell the public about the Clinton - DNC - FBI crimes in the 2016 election.... Cover that story? Of course not. They are too busy telling the world about Kanye West or Caitlin Jenner's latest utterances.
Trayvon wasn’t Korean, you’re not fooling me.
I don’t get it, where did he say that the Japanese occupation of Korea was a good thing?
All he said is that Korea looked to what Japan did after WWII as an example to grow their economy.
LOL! No, they wouldn't. I can't believe he would say that. There is still hostility to Japan among some in Korea.
Many colonial enterprises were beneficial in some ways for teh onetime colonies.
IIRC the NBC producer (who edited George Zimmerman’s call) was fired.
“It is nice day. The people are happy.”
Back to you Brent
But they will have Johnny Weir as a commentator, who was charged with domestic violence for hitting his “Husband” gee NBC, the network that has been trashing Rob Porter, are they fine with hiring people accused of battery
Served 18 months there, the Koreans do not like the Japanese. From 1910-1945 they raped and pillaged Korea.
It’s easy to forget that until the 1960s, South Korea was still considered to be economically behind the North, as North Korea hadn’t gone entirely bats—t crazy at that time, it was more like a traditional Communist country, not exactly prosperous, but certainly the average North Korean then was much better off than they are today.
1/2 of his comments were somewhat factually correct, as mere fact without getting into the political ramifications of it; that would be:
“the Japanese occupation of the Korean peninsula was an important moment in South Korea’s economic transformation”
Which it was. Along with that occupation came the first stages of industrialization on the Korean peninsula, which the Korean Kingdom had not then yet begun, when the occupation began. Of course the industrialization was to benefit Imperial Japan, it is also true that Koreans began to benefit from the process - whether or not they liked that it was being run by Japan.
The 1/2 where he was wrong was in the idea that Koreans see Japan as any cultural model.
As far as economic models, it is an “East Asian” mercantilist nationalist model that is embraced by China, Korea and Japan.
What did he say? Dog, eat dog?
had been hired temporarily by NBC to bring historical context to its coverage.
Here’s a novel idea - why don’t the talking hairdos on NBC just talk about sports?
Whenever the left acts like this, you know that they’re trying to punish anyone who speaks the truth.
ALL of these NBC fools should just STFU about race, politics and all the other PC bullshit and just comment on the athletics ...
There is only one country to be credited for South Korea’s remarkable recovery and development into am economic powerhouse in Southeast Asia, and that is the USA.
The USA rescued their nation at a horrendous cost of lives, and provided the money and expertise to build a nation that had been completely devastated by the North Koreans and Chinese.
We did the same thing for Europe and Japan following WWII. And all we asked of those countries was a place to bury our dead.
And eyt the American left says the USA exploits these countries.
Lets just point out that their restaurants serve dog meat. Now I find that offensive and disgusting. Life is too short to worry about who is offended.
History is always offensive to the losers.

Interesting article from all the way back in 1979....
Japan’s Economic Influence Is Everywhere in South Korea
Thinking about this, a few things come to mind:
If you spend 5 minutes talking to ANY Korean about what life was like under Japanese occupation, you’ll immediately hear about ‘comfort women’ and the horrific crimes against humanity that the Japanese committed during WW2.
So where did this clown get this viewpoint from? The only people who could possibly say that to him are the Japanese, who are told a whitewashed story regarding WW2, and have not even apologized for what they did.
(although I still have mixed feelings about the Japanese approach, as they still have a cohesive society, while the other country, Germany, whose people know full well what Germany did...but now are so guilt-ridden that they’re in process of committing cultural suicide)
