From Sophia’s website - I just found this. I had checked all afternoon but found this AFTER the note from this morning. I was looking for it at the top.. Great news and Sophia is still showing spirit. I don’t know what that one sentence means about defiance but probably her mom wrote what she wanted and one of those great machines (phone)decided to change it...Don’t know but this is GOOD!
~~~~~12:15 p.m. The surgery is complete! Sophia is now in ICU recovery. She has opened her eyes to family members and smiled.
In typical Sophia style she has made her signature move of saying ”Still alive!” while giving a thumbs up. She created move in defiance to doctors when she turned four years old and so many predicted she would not live to that age.
She will sleep for most of today but staff says she is doing great.
God hears prayers!! Praise Him and thank you for joining us in prayer!
We will continue to post her progress and add photos of her time here at Boston Children’s Hospital. Thank you Dr. Superman you have lived up to your nickname!~~~~~
