That’s for sure~~~~ Since this happened, it’s certainly come to my mind that we’ve never seen such a thing. May never again either. Could anyone imagine the LAST president mentioning anything like that?
When the Representative from Sophia’s area said the WH had been contacted (in a link in an earlier post), who dreamed that the president would make his thoughts known about one little girl and what she has faced and was facing? Praise be to God......
Prayers for Sophia and her family.
I heard what Sarah said concerning Sophia, but never put 2 & 2 together, just that they are from Brownwood which isn’t far from where I live.
God bless the president for his compassion, and God be with her and her family as they go to Boston to get this surgery done. May Sophia have a successful surgery and a full recovery!

I’m not really sure - I thought Sarah Sanders said “Brownsville” and I didn’t feel that was correct. I only know Sophia’s mom has mentioned Lubbock and they’ve had to drive from there to Dallas for Sophia’s doctor appointments and therapy sessions.
Hey - All I know about TX is getting stuck there traveling cross country with my daughter from CA to GA in February 2003 and being stuck in an ice storm in Fort Worth for 2-3 days...AND the scarcity of Denny’s restaurants from approx., El Paso until we finally made it to the other side of Fort Worth - HA! Well, it wasn’t funny at the time as we couldn’t find anything but taco stands...
I’ll get it for you. I know someone else asked for it and I sent it last night but now I don’t see my post. Maybe I just imagined I sent it. I know I posted the update on January 7...

I live 1/2 way between Dallas/Ft. Worth and El Paso. The armpit of Texas. LOL!
In the story it said Brownfield and that’s about 50 miles from Lubbock. I just hope she has a successful surgery. Please keep us updated...and let her know lots of FReepers are also praying for her.
I found an email this morning from Sophia’s Mom. She wrote it last night and was in my inbox on 1/24 10:30 pm. I had sent her a link to the press briefing so it wouldn’t get lost in the shuffle but I told her NOT to respond as I knew how busy they are...There are others with the ping list so if they can post this, I’ll be grateful. Also those others are more adept at social media than I am (which is zero) so they may have more up to date info.. I can get to the website without any problem but I don’t go on the others..
This is one really amazing family! AND more thanks to everyone for continuing the prayers...
~~~~We met the neurosurgeon yesterday and Sophia has chosen his nickname...”Dr. Superman” and what a perfect name it is! She told me she feels so good about the surgery.
The prayers we are receiving simply amazing. She is so happy about how this has grown but more importantly she is happy that people are praying together not just for her.
I am humbled by this little angel every day. My son still amazes me with his love for Sophia and strength for all of us.
I am so blessed!
I will be posting an update tonight on her website then phones will go off until tomorrow night after we are admitted.
