Each year, the State Department issues dozens of advisories with the intent of keeping Americans safe as they travel abroad. What countries are targeted by these advisories, and what risks do Americans face by visiting them? Are State Department advisories effective in keeping American travelers safe?
We decided to investigate what are the most dangerous countries for American to visit as measured by State Department warnings and also by actual deaths. We used data from Priceonomics customer data.world, a platform that ties many different data sets together so it's easy to analyze them (you can download their dataset here).
We found that Mexico, Mali, and Israel have been targeted by the most travel advisories in recent years, but that Americans are more likely to face life-threatening danger in Thailand, Pakistan, and Honduras. Indeed, warnings and deadly violence are correlated on the whole. And fortunately, some travelers - at least those headed to the Philippines or Egypt - seem to heed these advisories, as those countries see dropoffs in tourism following warnings.

I’m so glad I got to see a lot of the world when I was younger, thanks to parents that liked to travel and the Army. I’m closing in on 60 now, and I’m MORE than happy to just stay put on the farm for the rest of my days. ;)

ICE Releases Updated List of Recalcitrant ****HOLE Countries

ICE has completed its mid-year assessment of foreign countries that cooperate with ICE in accepting back their foreign nationals that have been ordered deported from the United States. Countries that refuse to accept, or that delay the acceptance of, their nationals are considered to be uncooperative or recalcitrant.
Hong Kong is the only country that has been added to list of uncooperative countries but ICE has successfully worked with nine other countries, including Iraq and Somalia, to remove them from the list. The number of recalcitrant countries has dropped from 20 to 12 since the presidential election. This makes it the shortest list in nearly a decade.
According to the report, the number of countries who are “At-Risk of Non-Compliance” has also decreased from 55 to 47 countries.
The decline is a result of Pres. Trump’s Jan. 25 Enhancing Interior Enforcement executive order that ordered visas suspended from countries that refused to take back their citizens. This executive order addresses #7 in NumbersUSA’s 10 Steps to Fix our Broken Immigration Enforcement System.
“On matters like this, the Trump administration is speaking not so softly and waving the sharp stick of visa sanctions,” said Jessica Vaughan, policy studies director at the Center for Immigration Studies.
When a country refuses to accept their criminal aliens back they are often released back into American communities because the Supreme Court ruled that the federal government can only hold illegal aliens for a certain amount of time.
Marlen Pineiro, assistant director for removal operations at ICE, said that ICE has moved to a more formal process for identifying recalcitrant countries.
In the past the list was based on the sense of state of the country. Now ICE conducts a review of each country looking at certain metrics including how long it takes to issue travel documents, whether the country will conduct identity interviews to facilitate deportation, and whether the country has a favorable deportation-to-release ratio.

Actually, I don’t like living in almost any town.
Any reason Israel is so high on this list? It is a first world country with a good police force and the army on the street. Perhaps added by the usual swamp creatures who hate it?

In Third World Countries it was common to see a bus packed with people, some hanging on the sides and sitting on the top, and a few Westerners, generally Americans, in bermuda shorts or blue jeans or other typically American attire, hanging on, sitting on the roof, comfortable and welcome, in the most remote places. Europeans adored Americans. Americans were safe and welcome everywhere.
When Western decadence became a significant factor in American society, starting with the counter-culture movement of the 1960s and continuing as the anti-Americanism of the political and social Left, America lost the respect of the world.
Today, Americans are hated--and are unsafe--in much of the world.
I suspect the chances of terrorist attack are higher - rockets can come flying in from the peaceful palestinians any time.
I don’t think I’d want to go to Deerborn, Michigan. And from pics I’ve seen lately, I’d stay far away from the Mall of America.
Probably because of the incessant terrorist activities of the Muslim Palis. Americans are in no real danger from Israeli Jews or most Arab Christians.
