Trump has put Schumer in a no-win situation on DACA

How do Democrats explain to themselves the way they keep getting outsmarted by a man they claim is a moron? President Trump has Democrats exactly where he wants them on the issue of DACA. Even PBS gets it:

How do Democrats explain to themselves the way they keep getting outsmarted by a man they claim is a moron? President Trump has Democrats exactly where he wants them on the issue of DACA. Even PBS gets it:

The “young immigrants” in question re the so-called “Dreamers,” that group of illegal immigrants purportedly brought to this country by their parents, one quarter of whom are functionally illiterate and half of whom have not bothered to learn English. The Democrats correctly see them as future voters, and hope that chain migration triples or quadruples the 800,000 into millions of new Democrats if they are allowed to gain permanent residence and citizenship.

The problem is that the general public is far from convinced that legalizing a group of border violators likely to become tax consumers, not tax payers, is the most pressing problem facing the nation, worthy of shutting down the government if Democrats don’t get their way. President Trump already called their bluff when they threatened the continuing resolution over DACA last month and the Dems caved and averted a Christmas season government shutdown. Their problem is that a substantial part of their base is angry over that concession to public opinion:

no-win situation

That would be Congress actually doing the legislative job they are assigned to do, one way or the other, and thus risking their precious political prospects.

Congress has ducked their job for too many decades, letting either SCOTUS or POTUS do their job for them.

I’m not so sure it’s about being outsmarted, as much as it’s about the fact that the President fights back and conducts his Presidential duties in the same manner that he conducts his business dealings. He wants to win. He wants to come out on top. He’s also willing to throw a bone or two, to the other side, as long as he gets what he wants.

For far too long, Schumer and the rest have been able to run roughshod over the GOP, with seemingly, no opposition. Now, because of their blind zealotry to legalize illegals and let their families invade our country, by the millions, they weren’t paying attention. They rely on the MSM to get their message out there. The President speaks to the people directly, with his masterful use of Twitter.

Schumer and the Dem’s have two choices: turn their backs on the illegals or turn their backs on the American people.

I am very unsure how the Wall /Daca epic clash will come out. I keep seeing deflating trial balloons intended to dissuade the monster Trump base from actual rage on crap like — you get 10% on the wall but the Democrat get 100$ of Daca, That wont work. Daca is all Trump has to fight with and the jury is out on what he will do, His Camp David Statements were obfuscated and cryptic. I hope for his political success in the future which is directly dependent on 100% of that wall , and absolute end to chain/ lottery, and long prison sentences for not using E Verify in the hiring of someone that turns out to be an illegal alien. Go Trump. Do what you said you would do!!

Congress not doing their job is certainly the core issue surrounding most of our problems.

It appears the Justice department has decided this too per Rostenstein’s tweet this morning.

Too bad it’s damn near insurmountable.

No DACA!

Send ‘em all back.

1-Trump declares national emergency at Southern border.
2-Sends in the Army Corp of Engineers to start building the wall with defense funds.
3-Places 20% tariff on all remittances to Mexico.
4-ICE starts rounding up DACA illegals and shipping them out.
5-Dems go apeshit..take case to SC and LOSE.
6-We all PROFIT!

I tweet this regularly to Trump..so should you.

“I’m not so sure it’s about being outsmarted,...”

“Schumer and the Dem’s have two choices: turn their backs on the illegals or turn their backs on the American people.”

You seem to have some conflict here.

It’s true what you say. They can bleat about “immigrants” and “rights” all they want but when they claim they are going to shut down the United States Government if the opposition party and President refuse to LEGALIZE several million ALIENS, well, it’s pretty hard sell in fly-over country.

I spent way too much time yesterday explaining this. Trump has never wavered on keeping his promises. His supporters keep expecting to be sold out bc that’s what politicians do. But Trump doesn’t renege on deals. He made a deal with his supporters that if we elected him he’d keep his promises.

Trump will honor his end of the deal. But he will do it in such a way that he will reap positive PR and the Democrats will have an infuriated, divided and rebellious base on their hands. If Trump supporters could just trust him a little more, they could sit back and enjoy the show. It will be spectacular.

Congress has ducked their job for too many decades, letting either SCOTUS or POTUS do their job for them.

It is the inescapable nature of a popularly elected congress.

a few more Bobalu....

1st, President Trump could float Treasury Bonds of some sort like a War Bond in WWII to get the money to build it, and the word is his isn't doing so to ruin his relationship with Ryan, but I am going to let that ONE go.

2nd.... Add a No-Fly Zone 30 miles wide as they build it so the Press can't fly over with their helicopters, GA aircraft or UAV's to film it.

3rd, it is Border, so why not bring in the Coast Guard? Could they ask the Marine Sea-Bee's for help?

Oh man if all the above were done, we couldn't buy a roll of Duck-Tape big enough to keep Schumer's head from exploding...

Maybe you can relay that message to Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, and Laura Ingraham.

Let them know they’re getting that uneasy feeling about DACA and amnesty for no good reason.

"3rd, it is Border, so why not bring in the Coast Guard? Could they ask the Marine Sea-Bee's for help?"

No "coast" involved. Rivers are under purview of the Army Corps of Engineers, which I can guarantee has the necessary expertise to build whatever needed (I'm from S. Louisiana, and grew up as the Atchafalaya Floodway system was being built).
