The only harm it does is in convincing people that Trump is the type who doublecrosses his base. People begin to believe Trump has already done something that he never intends to do. It stirs up resentment.

Just look around this site. Many believe Trump has already broken promises—but he hasn’t. It might as well be psyops for the other side, if that’s not putting it too strongly.

We all need to blow the doors off the WH and our reps with calls and email .

Don’t let up .

The 2006 amnesty fiasco was stopped .
And Laura , Rush , and Ann helped spread the news .

Murdock Globalists will try to shut Fox News except Laura .

If Hillary was Elected they would be providing Free College Tuition for them and revising the Constitution so these Foreign Born Dreamers could be Eligible for the Presidency.

After what Rush did during the primary, he has no claim to prescience. Ingraham can have singular insights into the GOP , but if she believes Trump will betray his base she is mistaken.

"Dems go apeshit..take case to SC and LOSE."

I don't know that we can assume this.

Roberts, who was a supposed conservative, voted to legalize same-sex marriage.

Before Obamacare was made law, the Obama Admin under Congressional hearing said the Obamacare requisite penalty was NOT a tax. Roberts gave Obama an out when he unilaterally determined that the Obamacare requisite penalty WAS a "tax".

The SC is divided and unpredictable. It has too many liberal, socialist, activist judges. It also seats so-called moderate judges, who act like activist judges at times and therefore are not constructionists.

I love our president. He has been true to his word and done many great things. I just hope for the country’s sake that doesn’t change. He didn’t promise 10% of the wall for 100% of Daca. But Im with you on most of what you say.

Trump is not at present negotiating to get 10% of the wall in exchange for DACA. Trump handed a full list of his non-negotiables conditions to the Democrats over three months ago. The entire wall was only one of a litany of requirements.

Trump recently passed the list out a second time. That is why the Democrats are wailing and whining. Both they and Trump know they cannot agree to any—much less all—of these conditions. It would militarize the base...against the Dems.

In the end there will be no deal, but Trump will have triumphed in the PR war. And PR matters; after all, the midterms are coming up.

No deal is fine. That means the illegal aliens go home in March. I love that. That would make me almost as happy as closing down non essential government forever!!

Perhaps the GOP needs to be proactive in defining the qualities necessary for a DACA path to citizenship, knowledge of English language, pass equivalent of citizenship test, income at a modest percentage above the poverty level, with bonus points for post high school education including trade school or apprenticeship. Other bonus points could be military service, community service (volunteer fire dept, EMT, meals on wheels, big brother/sister, etc.) or work in critical job categories (police, nursing, computer programing, defense industries).

Then the GOP should define “deal breaker” issues for DACA applicants to permanent residency. Perhaps: criminal felony convictions, DUI, gang affiliation, dead beat dad status, outstanding warrants, domestic abuse or domestic restraining order, etc.

Has ANYONE either addressed or even mentioned the status of US born children of these DACA people, many of whom left chilhood years ago?

What's is there to address?

If DACA members, who have U.S. born children, get deported, their children get deported as well.

Children are not the wards of the U.S.. They are the responsibility of their parents, period.

It’s OK, you are going to save the situation.

By commenting loudly!

Actually, that is the start of the solution.

Trying to convince and build a coalition of a large enough group of citizens requires talking about the problem first.

He (Schumer) has 10 Democrat senators up for re-election in November in states that voted for Trump. Will Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota, John Tester of Montana, and Claire McCaskill of Missouri be willing to tell their voters that they think amnesty for a group that includes MS 13 members is so important that the government ought to be shut down?

Political poison AND it will help us keep Congress...
