They face even more challenges because ObaMaoCare killed all the low cost high deductible plans like I could get when I was in my 20s and healthy.

Yep but notice how they try to blame this on Trump.

Brainwashed bastards.

I cannot. I have posed this question from time to time when a story like this comes up. Most people agree that we would have been so screwed. Americans, as a rule, appear to have been a tougher breed back then, for sure.

How many of the jobs can be filled by a Medieval French Poetry BA and a graduate degree in Rural Women’s Studies with a thesis on problems for women related to corn harvests for ethanol production ?

Correct. This chick has a degree in nonsense. Every time I see someone with a degree in this kind of leftest social babble I automatically assume they’re too dumb to get a real degree in something productive like something involving STEM.
Usually these people are college acceptance quota students.

Having been a benefits rep for a Tier 1 auto manuf. supplier to the Big 3, our UAW contract required that we keep dependents on the employee's coverage thru the age of 25 as long as they could prove dependency by providing a copy of their W2 showing the deduction.

Since my company was "self insured", that meant that all medical claims filed thru Blue Cross were ultimately passed on to the company with a surcharge assessed by Blue Cross.

That meant that every single male working in the plant who sired a child while unmarried, was entitled to add that child to his health insurance as a dependent.

I mention this only because my last memory of abuse was a 25 year old black male who came into HR to add his FIFTH child to his insurance while never once being married...................

What the hell did people do prior to Obuttcare? I like everyone else who turned 18 had to fend for themselves and survived by working and either getting insurance through their job or paid for their own medical.

Hell I got married at 19 and provided health care for myself and my wife and my child when I was 23. How the hell did we get to a situation where adults still depend on mommy and daddy until they are 26 and then whine and moan about who will take care of them afterwards. What a bunch of pussies our education system an liberal Dr. Spock moron parents have turned out.

Nobody should still be in college full time by 26 y/o unless they’re becoming a medical doctor. Of course the exception would be if you waiting a few years to start college and didn’t start at 18 or 19.

I know a few people still ft junior college at 23 and I’m thinking maybe school isn’t your thing. After four years at a community college you should already be able to transfer to a UNI with the credits, if not....go get a job and call it a day.

Company sponsored health insurance should only be required to provide coverage for 4 years following the high school graduation of the employee’s dependent. That should cover the anticipated years of college of the dependent........

Most 26 YO’s in CA are probably make 30k per year if they’re lucky.

After sky high rents in CA, how in tarnation is a 20 something going to afford health insurance when many professionals have issues with affordability?

Boo freaking hoo. When I was 26 I was responsible for more drilling rigs than reasonable and had been taking care of myself and a family for a lot of years already.

Never asked anyone for anything or expected it either.

I’ve got four between 18 and 27

even though the oldest have lived on their own since they were 19 or 20, I kept them on my insurance. There was no cost to either of us.

When my oldest turned 26, she did Obamacare simply because buying a garbage plan was cheaper than the fine. Now she pays through work for a decent plan. The other will do the same.

None of my kids do the snowflake thing. They just do what needs to be done.

I didn’t have insurance in my early 30s. These folks can make that decision too. No one was paying for my health costs other than me.

These folks need to live in the real world.

There is no choice today, and I read that the mandates have been maintained and will be in force, so if you chose the decision to not insure, you will be fined.

You mean when I turn 26 my dad has to start paying for a completely separate policy just for me?

Only liberals could attempt to make the argument that 12 years old is old enough to get an abortion without parental notification, but 26 years old is too young to figure out health insurance for yourself.
