As for me, I’m just eating popcorn and enjoying the spectacle. Hope Moore wins. Hope if he loses, he puts them through the ringer, like you-know-who did in Florida in 2000. But the “guy upstairs” will manage even if Mr. Jones goes to Washington, ‘cause something is happening and he don’t know what it is. Do you, Mr. Jones?

Why more people didn’t vote? I don’t know.

***********

Granted it was an important election. But it is
hard to get voters to the polls when there is only
one position on the ballot. That’s a shame but that
is the way it is.

Early voting may have helped some but it isn’t allowed
in Alabama.

In MOST case there are NO PAPER BALLOTS.. just the tallies registered by the machines.. which they can now erase immediately.. thus, NO VOTING RECORD of any kind.

Sure would be interesting to find out...was it the media? Moore as a candidate? Something else?

No, the digital images are taken of the paper ballot which are retained for 22 months. That is required by state law.

How will the digital images detect fraud that the paper ballots would not detect?

I applaud Alabama's voter ID laws, just as I applaud Florida's.

My one question is how do you guarantee the ID of a person filling out an absentee ballot?

All a Dem voter registration drive group has to do is collect the registrations, copy them with signatures, turn them in to the registrar. The address is changed before submission, or amended after. The group then can request absentee ballots during the election, and fill them out for their Dem candidate. These groups don't have to depend upon the person voting, they vote for them. If the person actually attempts to vote in person, they are given a provisional ballot.

If a person is not motivated to register to vote on their own, in most cases they won't vote during an election. So it's easy to create votes for the Dem candidates. Why else do we have multiple absentee ballots for unrelated people being mailed to one address.

Any attempt to close the loopholes are called by the Dems “Voter Repression”.

We had a thread recently that the Alabama Supreme Court was allowing precincts to delete digital vote records.

That's going to make a recount difficult...

Voting machines contain NO PAPER.. just digital information which culminates in vote totals.

Those vote totals in the machines are like files on your hard drive, whether on your computer, tablet, or phone.. once they're erased they NO LONGER EXIST.. because NO paper version ever existed.

I Didn't say there were NO paper ballots used.

Get it through your head that NOT many voters vote using PAPER BALLOTS any more.

Most use machines which involve NO PAPER record.

They can save your paper ballot for 10 years but if the machines are erased immediately it is then IMPOSSIBLE to do a recount ever.

There’s the number of votes cast, and there’s the signed voting rolls. That’s a start.
