Roy Moore unwilling to concede: ‘It’s not over’
NY Post ^ | December 13, 2017 | 12:10am | David K. Li

GOP Alabama Senate Candidate Roy Moore refused to concede on Tuesday night and insisted more votes could still swing the race and save him from a stunning defeat to an underdog Democrat.

“When the vote is this close, that it’s not over,” he told supporters in Montgomery at his campaign rally shortly after Democrat Doug Jones already had been declared the winner by multiple news organizations and had given a televised victory speech.

With all precincts reporting, Jones had 49.9 percent and Moore 48.4 percent.

Moore quoted from scripture and told supporters to wait for all votes to come in – including provisional ballots and those cast by overseas military members.

“That’s what we’ve got to do, is wait on God and let this process play out,” Moore said. “But the votes are still coming in and we’re looking at that.”

Who else lost? Steve Bannon, Sean Hannity, and Trump. This might be the end of Trump

Hannity gave Moore his big chance to vociferously refute the scuttilous claims against him on national television, but according to most accounts, he botched it.

He did botch it, but by the time Hannity had given him the forum, the premise had already been laid that dating teenage women was tantamount to admitting to molesting that girl. All the accusations were lumped together as a package, and if Moore admitted to any of it, people would see it as implicating him in the molestation accusation.

Hannity didn't help by focusing on trying to get Moore to deny he dated teenagers instead of denying that he molested that specific girl. The problem was, Moore did date teenagers, and by focusing on that Hannity was helping to paint Moore into a corner.

Moore botched it, but Hannity botched it too in the way he presented an acknowledgement of dating teenagers as convicting Moore of all the accusations.

When Trump was faced with personal attacks from the same lying cabal, he roared back with real fire, and set them on their heels.

Roy couldn't manage to cough out a puff of smoke, and that is why so many voters bought into the lies.

Moore should have said "Yes I dated Teenagers, but I never dated a 14 year old, and I never had any sort of intimate contact with that one girl."

Moore should have came out with strong denouncement of the one accusation, and an admission that he dated some women as teenagers.

But the bigger thing here is that people in our party should have at the very least kept their F***ing mouths shut until they had more information than mere accusations from women with troubled pasts. Too quickly did all of our team mates come out to withdraw their support and denounce Moore on the basis of nothing but Media collaborated accusations.

Jeff Flake even sent money to the Jones Campaign. The backstabbing from our own party was just unreal.

Give it a few days. People will be working on this. They went to far this time.

Who went too far? Explain, please.

About 50,000 Moore votes missing from Jefferson County.
Voter fraud by subtraction.

“This might be the end of Trump—”

Trump’s fate and America’s fate are inextricably intertwined.
We need 16 years of Trumps(8 years of Don Jr) just to save the patient called America.

If not, it’s all over but the screaming and the dying.

blah blah blah
take a Valium or you’re a troll.

the end of trump? he didn’t even support Moore until last week. he was for strange then kept out of the Roy Moore fray until ten days ago.
The issue with Moore was the underage thing, that’s it.

Trump’s accusers are the same as they were when he ran and won. Trump has been who he is for 45 years in the public eye.
Nothing new under the sun, and nobody cared.

It was the accusations, which so many of our side simply accepted at face value and repeated endlessly, that cost this election. I saw the “write in” vote was something like 22,000, which was the exact margin of victory.

People like Shelby urging people to not vote for Moore was the cause of this “write in” vote. People like Jeff Flake writing a very public check to Doug Jones lent credibility to the accusations.

There was no “fight harder.” Moore simply did not have any tools with which he could redeem himself in the eyes of a lot of people who had been misled by what the media told them, and by what other Republicans constantly repeated and amplified.

The left and media didn’t cost Moore the election it was the GOP establishment publicly condemning him and pulling money...period.
Shelby was the nail in Moore’s coffin. The write-in vote was crazy HUGE..and was encouraged by the GOP.

His/the Swamp message to all of us, “We pick who gets to run and if you people try an end run around us, we’ll gang up with the ‘RATs so you’ll lose, our money spigot never turns off!”

This is what I think too. I think they've been running this scam on us for a long time.

The good news. Trump certainly won't see it that way. Every setback brings another opportunity, and I believe Trump does see it that way.

How many millions did he/they spend to turn a safe GOP seat DemocRAT Blue, some $60M and counting???

Passing Trump agenda has been a squeaker at best with Collins, Murkowski not to mention Flake and Corker but there’s always the dying “Maverick,” John McCain to put the lid on a vote, at the last possible moment.

Now the GOP excuse, “we’re down a seat,” so they never, ever have to let normal Americans have what they want, need and voted for, while Mitch McConnell, spent millions from his Swamp Stash to keep open borders, terrorists and punishing tax breaks for his friends, while those in the DC Swamp can ride the lobbing gravy train off to eventual billionaire retirement packages, only you or I could only dream up!

His/the Swamp message to all of us, “We pick who gets to run and if you people try an end run around us, we’ll gang up with the ‘RATs so you’ll lose, our money spigot never turns off!” /

SAY IT AGAIN, AND THE DUMBASSES IN ALABAMA FELL FOR IT.

Great analysis. You obviously paid a great deal of attention to the subtleties and minutiae of this debacle - much more than most - including myself.

That was a Grade A Freeper comment, there. Much appreciated.

I agree Wind.....in fact Roy came across to me unprepared...if he couldn't convince Hannity and the viewer he wasn't standing thereafter on solid ground. I tend to think he was likely a rascal 40 years ago....and there were a dime a dozen then. It was a different time when there wasn't a boogey-man behind every bush......so it was unfair to compare that time to today's 'stiff' climate where every act of affection is seen as a come on in one form or another......

----------------------------------------------------------

When are all these women politicians going to call a spade a spade and accuse Brigitte Macron for her teacher-pupil relationship, She was in her 40's and Emmanuel Macron was just 16......plus she was a married at the time. Oh but she's considered by them as a "Barricuda".....

Now 65...

A person whose conscience tells them to vote against a man because he’s been libeled is in sad, sad shape.

Yes, and I've told a bunch of them so. Didn't do any good. Some people just wanted to believe the accusations.

Source on that? That would change the course of current winds. There looking for a half percent difference in votes to trigger a state recount.

they cheated.

That goes without saying, but this is a ruby red state that Trump won by 28%. The race should have been a cakewalk for the Republican, but Moore didn't even get half of the Deplorables to the polls.

That tells the real story.

The "write in" vote was the margin of victory, and it was deliberately thrown away by the urgings of people like Shelby and others.

May they suffer humiliation and loss for the disaster they have foisted upon our nation with their "virtue signaling."
