Roy Moore unwilling to concede: ‘It’s not over’

GOP Alabama Senate Candidate Roy Moore refused to concede on Tuesday night and insisted more votes could still swing the race and save him from a stunning defeat to an underdog Democrat.

“When the vote is this close, that it’s not over,” he told supporters in Montgomery at his campaign rally shortly after Democrat Doug Jones already had been declared the winner by multiple news organizations and had given a televised victory speech.

With all precincts reporting, Jones had 49.9 percent and Moore 48.4 percent.

Moore quoted from scripture and told supporters to wait for all votes to come in – including provisional ballots and those cast by overseas military members.

“That’s what we’ve got to do, is wait on God and let this process play out,” Moore said. “But the votes are still coming in and we’re looking at that.”

You should have taken a lesson from Trump, and fought harder.

It was the accusations, which so many of our side simply accepted at face value and repeated endlessly, that cost this election. I saw the "write in" vote was something like 22,000, which was the exact margin of victory.

People like Shelby urging people to not vote for Moore was the cause of this "write in" vote. People like Jeff Flake writing a very public check to Doug Jones lent credibility to the accusations.

There was no "fight harder." Moore simply did not have any tools with which he could redeem himself in the eyes of a lot of people who had been misled by what the media told them, and by what other Republicans constantly repeated and amplified.

Kind of an uphill battle when you're outspent 14:1 and the GOPe pulls funding from you over misconduct charges that are not only unproven, but likely false...

Yeah, it really was quite the obstacles to overcome, including the national and local medias. I pray this is the DC swamps last stand.

Nope, the only people I blame in all of this loss, if it actually turns out a squeaker win for Jones, is the Swamp RNC and Mitch McConnell!

How many millions did he/they spend to turn a safe GOP seat DemocRAT Blue, some $60M and counting???

Passing Trump agenda has been a squeaker at best with Collins, Murkowski not to mention Flake and Corker but there’s always the dying “Maverick,” John McCain to put the lid on a vote, at the last possible moment.

Now the GOP excuse, “we’re down a seat,” so they never, ever have to let normal Americans have what they want, need and voted for, while Mitch McConnell, spent millions from his Swamp Stash to keep open borders, terrorists and punishing tax breaks for his friends, while those in the DC Swamp can ride the lobbing gravy train off to eventual billionaire retirement packages, only you or I could only dream up!

His/the Swamp message to all of us, “We pick who gets to run and if you people try an end run around us, we’ll gang up with the ‘RATs so you’ll lose, our money spigot never turns off!”

A people that stupid - that EVIL, to believe what the evidence strongly suggested was libel - deserves what it gets. A person whose conscience tells them to vote against a man because he’s been libeled is in sad, sad shape.

I hope when the District of Corruption gets exposed, Shelby is swept away with it. Those who refuse to fight this beast are part of it.

It was the accusations, which so many of our side simply accepted at face value

Hannity gave Moore his big chance to vociferously refute the scuttilous claims against him on national television, but according to most accounts, he botched it.

When Trump was faced with personal attacks from the same lying cabal, he roared back with real fire, and set them on their heels.

Roy couldn't manage to cough out a puff of smoke, and that is why so many voters bought into the lies.

Stick a fork in Moore—he’s done. Who else lost? Steve Bannon, Sean Hannity, and Trump. This might be the end of Trump—Watch as lots and lots of women come forward with 50 year old claims he “Grouped” Touched, Fondled and kissed them. He and others close to him will be buried in charges. The GOPe will block Trump’s Tax Plan—watch Obamacare is now a permanent part of America. Moore better fight back or he will be going to jail as a Peodiphile. Same with Trump, Donald Jr. Sean Hannity, and others. The Swamp won—I don’t see how this can work out in Trumps favor.

They are who we thought they were! And we let em’ off the hook!

God bless Coach Dennis Green (RIP). That was a heck of a game and the beginning of the end for Rex Grossman.

He fought like hell. The whole world was against him.

If he fought so hard, why couldn't he get even half of the Trump voters to the polls?

The Sec of State said no military absentee ballots have came in. Most are probably on the bottom of the Gulf.

How many were sent out?

There will now begin the “provisional ballot” review. Should those ballots bring Moore up to within one half percent of the winner then Alabama has an automatic recount provision.

Hard to predict the future; however, I wonder if Moore’s losing might not knock the wind out of the sail of the newly emerged Mediacrat’s sexual harassment/predator mantra which I believe they were setting up from Trump impeachment.

Had Moore won, the shrieking from the hyena press would have been never ending, and they have already been transferring their pseudo-concern from Franken and Moore to Trump.

Oh I am sure there will be a new issue du jour, but Moore win might have added a lot of fuel to the continuation of the sexual harassment issue.
