I dunno, I think it’s fair enough in itself.
What she didn’t express, and what almost nobody but Americans will express, is support for Zionism.
So you take whatever port you know in a storm.
Fair enough. I condemn attacks on anyone. But it sounds like she thinks she’s saying something of earth shaking significance. Mogherini is a blow-hard, and one wonders if that’s how she got her exalted position.
Well, in the face of Donald Trump’s announcement (which finally put into effect long standing American law) it looks like a signal, however weak the power behind it, that for Israel’s enemies to get murderously excited over it really won’t be viewed as very nice. And so what happened to those three days of rage anyhow? A most excellent fizzle?
We take what we can get, when we can get it. Ancient Jerusalem wasn’t rebuilt in a day, and modern Jerusalem won’t be either.
If anything, maybe she’s getting a mite more backbone from Donald Trump. Who in turn is getting it from other spiritual sources. This doesn’t look like Donald Trump, the real estate mogul. This looks like Donald Trump, the born-again. (Eat your heart out Jimmy Carter.)
I THINK I know how Jews feel about Israel and Jerusalem. It’s front and center in the geographic aspect of the Jewish faith. Jerusalem is considered worth more than any other earthly joy.
The really earth shaking things will be said by the Almighty. Humans can, at best, only repeat them.

I think he just took away a high denomination chip wielded by the Pali/Arabs. He just reached out and took it. He will be taking more from their stack. If you don’t sit down and play, your stack will be gone.
They really didn’t have much positive to offer in the negotiations. Not even their oil, because they didn’t want their own Shangri-La to stop.
Agreed. They have a very short stack. Trump just took their highest denomination chip and said “That isn’t the anti, it is the houses cut.”
The only other high denomination chip they have is to sue for peace.
I was at Gush Etzion juntion on business yesterday. It was business as usual. No riots, no assaults, all quiet.
Now just a cotton pickin’ minit here. Let’s be fair. The two are not mutually exclusive. Europe can let in even more Muslims, who will attack Jews, Christians, Frenchmen in bistros for drinking wine, Germans in taverns for drinking beer, and every time someone is attacked, there will be EU officials saying “I condemn it,” Mogherini chief among them. She will say it as early and often as a dead man voting in Chicago.
