A senior executive at the family entertainment company Disney has been charged with three felony counts of child sex abuse.
Director of music publishing at Disney Jon Heely was arrested on three counts of lewd and lascivious acts on a child, according to Variety.
Heeley, 58, of Santa Clarita is accused of abusing two underage girls approximately ten years ago.
He was arrested on November 16 and released on $150,000 bail, Variety reported.
According to an affidavit, one of the girls was 15-years old at the time of the alleged incident.
The other victim was allegedly abused over a four year span which started when she was 11.
Heeley pleads not guilty to the charges and vehemently denies the accusations, his lawyer told Variety. Disney said it acted swiftly and suspended Heeley upon learning of the accusations late Friday.
'Immediately upon learning of this situation tonight, he has been suspended without pay until the matter is resolved by the courts,' a Disney spokesperson said.
Heely, who oversees the licensing of music from Disney films, faces just over nine years in prison if convicted of the charges.

The person I want to hear from in the current scandalous milieu is Brooke Shields. She was fourteen when she made The Blue Lagoon, which came out in 1980. There was huge interest in young, sexy actresses and models. I remember reading an article in a fashion magazine at the time with before/after pictures where they took a girl from no makeup to sex kitten.
I even remember an ad for menswear in the San Diego Opera program. A sexy fourteen year old touching the chest of a man in business attire.
Attention toward very young women was a thing. What does Brooke Shields think about the current situation? Is she a victim or enabler in this? Any thoughts? Regrets?

I agree completely but the accusations themselves alter peoples lives in every way.
Several years ago a photographer was arrested on child pornography charges.
A developing company found pictures of nude pubescent girls on one roll of film.
The developing company called the police and handed the pictures and negatives over.
The police raided his home taking all his equipment and all pictures and undeveloped film.
When it got to court the truth finally came out.
The photographer was divorced and had two young daughters. On one of their visits the girls decided to take some pictures of themselves.
They posed just like the girls in the magazines mom’s new husband read. They didn’t know they were doing anything wrong.
This guy lost his home due to legal fees, his business due to the publicity and most of the good will he had developed in the community.
To add insult to injury most of the equipment he recovered was damaged due to neglect or mishandling.
His best camera and two most expensive lenses disappeared into thin air.
I read Brooke Shields autobiography, she came through it fairly unscathed because he mother kept such a tight rein on her career. Her mother Teri was a drunk but acted as Brooke’s manager.
From what Brooke says in her autobiography, no one bothered her.
For well over two decades I saw many of the Disney "girls" grow up then crash and burn. The shows they were on when they were young were mostly trashy and I refused to let my young daughter watch them.
During that time I always told my wife that I believed there were bad things happening behind the scenes and that most of those girls, and many of the boys, were being sexually abused. The way they all acted as they grew older fit the profile of people who were molested as children and I will stick to my belief that most of those kids were sexually abused.
That person (I refuse to call him a man) is one of the most vacuous humans on the face of our planet. His 15 minutes was gone and he threw his daughter into the meat grinder so he could live vicariously through her. Her fame, no matter the cost, was worth it to him.
