Liberals Freak Out As House Approves Nationwide Concealed Carry Reciprocity
SHTF Plan ^ | 1-30-2017 | Mac Slavo

Posted on 11/30/2017 10:19:20 AM PST by blam

The House Judiciary Committee voted 19-11 late Wednesday for the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2017. This bill would amend the federal criminal code to allow the concealed carry of guns across state lines for all concealed carry permit holders.

Should this bill become a law, states will not be able to impose their individual requirements for a concealed carry license on those who have a license to conceal in a different state. The left is already terrified.

Republicans rejected Democratic amendments that would ban violent offenders from qualifying under the law (because violent offenders cannot obtain a concealed carry permit anyway), as well as a change that would have prevented forum shopping; which means a New York resident barred from obtaining a concealed carry permit could instead send away for one from somewhere else. The bill, which has more than 200 co-sponsors, almost all Republicans, will now head to the floor of the 435-member House. A similar bill, with 38 Republican co-sponsors, is pending before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

All this bill does is extend the right to carry a concealed firearm IF one is licensed to do so in all 50 states, regardless of the state that issued the license. There isn’t really a reason for liberals to freak out, yet they are.

Not sure what the blue Mad Max cities are squawking about.
A lot of us might consider visiting them again, if we worried less about getting jacked by their feral youths.
More tourism, more money for their sanctuary pets.

"Somebody please clarify. Does this mean that my Ohio CCW, which has reciprocity in most of the states that allow concealed carry, will now make it legal in states that don't? States like NY and Massachusetts?"

I'm not sure but, I think it means everywhere...all states.

BTW, if I go to NY, my guns go with me, period.

“They will fight this tooth and nail, bet on it...”

Let the games begin! With President Trump “remaking” our Federal Courts, with the very real prospect of from one to three “vacancies” in the SCOTUS, we will finally get the Second Amendment to operate as the founders intended.

Call it a “common sense gun law” and they’ll be right behind it.

As certain as the day is long.

Yep, there is zero chance of this becoming law.

Great news indeed - I live in NJ. Anyone know where I could get a non-resident permit to carry so I can transfer it to NJ?

"Let's eat grandma ... "

My grandma (actually my great-grandma who raised my mother after my real grandma died in a fire), was WAY WAY too tough to eat (or cross in any other way as local legend has it). She wasn't a "steel magnolia"...she ate those for breakfast.

We already have the “full faith and credit” clause in the Constitution, which is why you don’t have to get a new driver’s license when you cross state lines and why Alabama has to recognize a Nevada marriage, even a fake one between faggots.

The requirement for separate firearms licenses for each state violates the FF&C clause, just as any requirement for any firearms license violates the Second Amendment.

“I asked him “what do I have to do to buy this revolver?”. He said “Give me $450”

I moved to TX and paid for one there at the sporting goods counter. He pushed it across the counter and I asked the guy, “Oh, I can just take this right now??” He said, “Sure, unless you want me to carry it out to your car for you!”

‘Merica!

Good. If my marriage and drivers licenses are recognized in all 50 States, so should this.

Although, it SHOULD NOT BE REQUIRED to have a license to exercise a RIGHT.
