This is how we USED to do it as FreeRepublic USED to be a redoubt for those who understood all opinions are not equally valid, and took pains to present our opinions in a manner consistent with Aristotelian discourse, even if we didn’t explicitly know what that meant.

He had been all over the country running large construction projects. He said that he thought that New Yorkers came the closest to Alaskans in attitude - and he meant “his” attitude.
While most Alaskans I've met are hard-workers and talk straight - they weren't quite as brash as this fellow.
But - I'm guessing he got successful in part because of that cocky and brash attitude. It may not win you friends, but if that is what works for him to get the most out of his crews - so be it. (BTW - the project I was consulting on - after the work was done, on time and in tough conditions, he gave his guys a big bonus.)
People are complicated. A man can be a jerk and still be one of our greatest conservative Presidents.
My personal opinion is that he is a rude self-centered jerk and also a great man and a great conservative leader. I admire his leadership. I don’t worship him.

“We” is myself and my wife and 5 friends (2 women 3 men) who all voted for him but also think he is a flawed person.

This is in large part a cultural war, when’s the last time Republicans had an offensive game? Reagan was a looong looooong time ago.
You may well hate Trump’s tact. Trump is a pop culture icon, you may hate that too.
All that said, he is fearless and he cammands attentions. As I said in another post, regardless of your political persuasion, you can’t not watch!
