I have come to appreciate President Trump. I think he has a lot going for him, as far as wanting what is best for the country, and often picking good people for his team. He also has some rough edges but we can overlook that. He also has a lovely family and that is a major accomplishment.
He really, really does. Astonishing in their own poise and self-assurance.
That's difficult enough for a busy small businessman to pull off. Really tough for a big-time operator.
Even more impressive for a guy in charge of the free world.
I’ve seen plenty of people being criticized and called trolls or pearl clutchers for offering good, constructive criticism.
The reason why the people like Donald Trump is he is a border hawk and not a globalist. He does not like “Free Trade”. This is his greatest appeal. Rush still doesn’t quit get it. But Rush is trying.
"But that wont work with Trump. We already know hes a rude creep. Weve known it for years."
By the way, who's we?
You've already said that.
What you haven't done is qualify ANY of it, which makes your entire comment nothing but a gratuitous assertion that can be just as gratuitously denied.
Now if you come up with an actual argument, we'll have something worth talking about.
“The Left hated John Wayne and he was considered a “right wing creep” too.”
They did the same thing with NHL hockey. Many years ago, players kept their sticks down and you lived and died by the sword and the policemen (like John Ferguson, Ted Green, and Reggie Fleming and others) dealt with the troublemakers as it was only five minutes for fighting. And ones like Bobby Orr or Jean Beliveau could stand up for themselves as well if need be. The Left resented all of this and wanted fighting banned and that made it far easier for the cheap shot artists (so commonplace now) to do their job.
I don’t need to do any qualifying because it’s not needed. I think you need to learn how to discern. Your argument is very weak. Your opinion is no more valid than mine.
I’m not going to go back and forth with you.
President Trump believes what he says and gives his honest opinion rather then voicing an opinion passed on a focus group. while actually in private saying something different to a few selected people that need to be informed or losing there support.
The moment that he has his first focus group to decide his deep held belief ne will lose that support because it is at that point you become the swamp.
Of course you aren’t.
You declare victory, then run away.
That’s what those lacking intellectual integrity, do.
You prove my point. You don’t like my opinion so you resort to making personal attacks.
Intellectual integrity has nothing to do with this trivial matter of differences of opinion. I don’t want to waste my time going back and forth on why this, why that. Besides, we’re on the same side.
Yes, it is.
You're "opinion is supported by nothing more than a "gut check" with other like minded individuals, while mine was at least predicated on "performance."
That makes my opinion more credible than yours, by definition.
As I said, we’re on the same side.
There ya go.
The easily offended are trying to say Trump is too candid, forthright, upfront and tells it straight up...All with a sense of humor! See, humor is something else the controlling leftist severely lack. But I’ve observed they do get a little giddy laffy when it comes to sick twisted humor...And yet so easily offended. Seems a bit odd.
>Im a die-hard Trump supporter.
Some how I doubt that. I hated Trump before he ran for president. He’s boorish, flamboyant and over the top. Not qualities I like in a business man. But never in a million years would I call him a creep.
Your first sentence gets my vote.
Not if I can't depend on your support, the future of which is strongly indicated by past performance.
"Intellectual integrity" has EVERYTHING to do with it. With out it, reasonable people can not come to a peaceable, amicable, resolution of differences.
When "saving face" is more important than providing those on "your side" with a cogent, valid, reason for your dissent, your "support" is as dependable as caprice.
As Rush says: “If the media makes you, they can break you”. If that doesn’t describe Clinton’s I don’t know what does.
Conversely, Trump beset on every side by hostile media can’t help but attract hyperbolic media coverage. This strikes with people’s sense of fair play -consciously (and subconsciously I believe).
The media is unwittingly making Trump a Niechzschean Superman. You can’t not watch! And, whatever doesn’t kill him makes him stronger!
Right. Whatever you say.
You are a real piece of work.
Like everybody else.
People don't always fit into the tidy niches we'd like to make for them.
I can see that Trump sometimes acts impulsively and without thinking.
He lets the New York street guy in him out.
But that's not the whole man.
That's true of others in politics and of me and you.
A lot depends on which day you catch somebody.
You're right that Trump didn't portray himself as a sensitive feminist.
But I suspect he also maintained a little more distance between business and pleasure than some of the guys in trouble now.
