Sounds like I should know who this person is, but I dont. He wrote a couple of books and had a radio and TV show on NPR/NPTv called A Prairie Home Companion based out of Minnesota. He was quite popular in parts of the Midwest and the Prairie States and he was a flaming leftist.

What killed it with me about him was when he said that Republicans, if they get sick, should just take a couple aspirin and then die. He said this about 5 or 6 years ago.
