What killed it with me about him was when he said that Republicans, if they get sick, should just take a couple aspirin and then die. He said this about 5 or 6 years ago.
I had never heard of the man until I was stationed in North Dakota. He was a staple up there and I thought he was benign until he said something nasty about conservatives. That was back in the late 1980s.
The press up in the Plains States and the Midwest idolized that man and it really went to his head. He thought he was "all that" yet he looks like a hideous chud.
