Funny thing, despite the expense, kosher meat, particularly poultry, is wonderful. I buy my Christmas turkey every year from a kosher butcher. He has a foreign accent (unknown) and every time he says to me “What day is Christmas?” and I remind him, lol.

This article makes it seem like the Jewish butchers are doing it to themselves. That may well be the case. And if the main issue is they don’t want to stun the animal before/shortly after cutting, then I lack sympathy for the butchers.
All European Jewry ought to leave. They will miss more than meat in Eurabia, once it comes about.
The point is to alleviate suffering.
For most, meat is something in the nice package at the grocery store.
When one kills and butchers his own meat there is much more respect for life, I mean all life. We have lost this.
Thus kosher is a ritual. the meaning of it is lost.............
You’ll find disagreement on the suffering issue. Properly done the animal loses consciousness virtually immediately due to the drop in blood pressure. Unlike stun guns. Don’t really want to argue the issue other than to point out there is disagreement. In Europe I suspect the other issues, animosity toward Muslims and Jews, is a bigger issue.
Well, they are Kosher butchers. If you’re suggesting they could switch to being non Kosher butchers, they could.

It was not "anti-muslim sentiment" that motivated these changes, it was PETA and vegans.
As soon as the last Kosher butcher closes, the EU will "rethink this ruling" and allow full Halal butchers to operate.

I don’t know enough about the process, but if it’s illegal to stun in Kosher butchering then perhaps they should be out of business. Or change the “laws” of Kosher butchering.
