What is the danger that Roy Moore poses to the Senate GOP?
The American Spectator ^ | Nov 22, 2017 | Elfego Baca

...Judge Roy Moore will do what is right for Alabama and for America. And when Majority Leader McConnell calls for a unanimous vote to declare the Senate to be in a Pro Forma Session, Senator Moore will not mislabel it. If Congress is in recess, and no serious business is being conducted, he will vote to call it a recess. You see, Congress has these “pro forma” sessions that pretend Congress is still in session so the President cannot make any recess appointments to any position. But I suspect the key to these votes is that they have been unanimous. Under Senate rules, if just one senator doesn’t play ball, a vote is required on the record. Senator Moore is likely to be that one senator. And the other senators don’t want to be on the record, sabotaging their President. And therein lies the $30 million problem….

I think this is what they really fear. Trump could fill every Federal Court vacancy in an afternoon. Not to mention the hundreds of other open positions.

Kaboom.

I think the biggest thing is that he comes in owing no one.

He has already declared that McConnell should go. He is a one man revolution against the status quo.

Think Mr Smith goes to Washington, only Mr Smith is a West Point Grad, Viet Nam veteran, legal scholar and Supreme Court Justice.

In a Senate where you don't even have to talk to filibuster.

Now comes Senator McConnell, and in a scene out of Kevin Spacey’s House of Cards, is using the “pro forma” vote to sabotage his own party’s President, which happened in August of 2017 when Senator Murkowski set up a series of pro forma sessions to prevent President Trump from making any recess appointments.

With art following history, we learn McConnell ha his own “Kevin Spacey” problem in his past while in the Army. Not to mention McConnell is literally married into a criminal international drug-running shipping company with the James Chao family. A criminal enterprise that makes the machinations in “House of Cards” looks like a Methodist picnic.

Roy Moore can do that all on his own? Wow.

“But I suspect the key to these votes is that they have been unanimous.”

Interesting...I guess that means our wonderful Senator Cruz voted with the Democrats on restricting Trump’s power.

Hopefully people in Texas notice that.

They should require the Senate to take a proper recess.

“Roy Moore can do that all on his own? Wow.”

If Senator Moore can force the Senate into a real Recess, it can happen. McConnel, to his credit, used this trick to prevent Obama from doing it. He tried with the NLRB but got slapped down by the courts.

A dirty little secret is that he’s still doing it to President Trump, thus preventing him from making recess appointments. If Moore can force a real recess the President would be free to fill every single appointed position in one fell swoop.

The howling from all sides, including the media, would be sweet music to my ears.

If Judge Moore can veto the declaration of a pro forma session (when a de facto recess is actually taking place), great. But the writer is under the mistaken impression that Moore will be the 53rd Republican Senator. He’ll be only the 52nd since when Judge Moore comes in, the McConnell-compliant Luther Strange goes out.

The very same danger Donald J. Trump poses.

Soooooo,

There is not ONE senator outside the control of the GOPe and the demo-socialists?

We really needed Trump, and having Moore join the senate is critical.
