Working regularly with Chinese Aviation Authority. The Chinese are never wrong. So much so, when our pilots get called out on a "so-called" violation (altitude, track etc . . .), the pilots are instructed to say yes sir, sorry sir and will write a report sir, regardless.
Even when the tape shows otherwise, its still the pilots fault.
In all these years the Chinese never admit wrongness, failure or fault. NEVER! Most of which has to do with saving face crap.

I assure you that Otto Warmbier’s parents are not lefties. They are a good family from the upscale Cincinnati suburb of Wyoming. Although I do not know them personally, I have close friends who live in the Wyoming neighborhood who do and they describe a much different family from what you suppose. Otto was a great kid who made a stupid decision on a college dare. Don’t conflate it beyond that.
I hope they all do time. Sometimes a persons “highest and best” use is to serve as a warning to others.
