There were rumblings in the press years ago after 9/11 the AQ had their families in Iran’s city of QOM. I am sure everyone knows. Just as important as regime change, nuclear weapons shut down is the AQ angle when taking over Iran.
A Saudi-owned paper publishing an article linking Iran to the Saudi Osama bin-Laden somehow does not seem very convincing when it is in the Saudis’ interest to promote tension between the USA and Iran.
