Allah is the Arabic name for God. Arabic-speaking Jews and Christians use the same title because it is the only word for God in that language. In fact, Jews and Christians who spoke Arabic long before Islam existed referred to God in Arabic as “Allah.”

Perhaps by referring to “allah” with a lower-case first letter, you may be correctly identifying that Islam’s deity is not the true God or even true “Allah” if we were to say it in Arabic.

The only clarification I would add to your statement is that it is “their ‘allah’.” Clearly they, like many religious people, serve a god who is not the true God.

Like you, I have reservations about calling "Allah" a moon god, because "Deus" and "Theos" is actually a transliteration of the Greek word for Zeus; i.e., ζευσ or θεοσ, the Greek god of lightning. With reservations, I would say that "Allah" refers to a single god who created everything and has no physical form. I don't know what the Islamic concept of Satan is, but I totally reject the idea prevalent among some Christians that Satan is an anti-G-d who is at war with the Creator and a threat to Him. That flies in the face of monotheism imho. But the Islamic idea about the afterlife for mujaahidiin being one big f@#$k-fest are beyond the pale. It's basically monotheistic Valhalla without the constant battlefield scene, just the victory feast after the battle. An illiterate moron's notion of Heaven.

Well, they do. Allah is not YHWH, Elohim, or Adonai.

Even in Pre-Islamic Arabia, all variations of "Allah" were pagan. None of those peoples worshipped the one and true God.

In fact, there is more evidence that "allah" is really Ba'al.

Ferris is correct that the current "allah" being worshipped is really Satan.

The acts and atrocities done in the name of the Islamic "god" are the most evil on the planet.
