'No one wants to take our guns'? Oh, really?

Almost immediately after the Las Vegas shooting came the calls for “common-sense” gun control. The quest almost always begins with a reassurance that “no one wants to take away your guns.”

Not everyone read the memo.

Nelson Shields, founder of Handgun Control Inc., the organization that became the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, in a 1976 interview could not have been more clear about his group’s goals: “Our ultimate goal – total control of handguns in the United States – is going to take time. My estimate is from seven to 10 years. The first problem is to slow down the increasing number of handguns being produced and sold in this country. The second problem is to get handguns registered. And the final problem is to make the possession of all handguns and all handgun ammunition – except for the military, policemen, licensed security guards, licensed sporting clubs and licensed gun collectors – totally illegal.”

In 1993, a Los Angeles Times editorial called for the repeal of the Second Amendment: “You will not feel safe, your children will not be safe, until there are almost no guns on the streets and in homes. No guns, period, except for those held by law enforcement officers and a few others, including qualified hunters and collectors. … We must, as a nation, move toward a very different model, one that presumptively bars private citizens from owning a firearm unless they can demonstrate a special need and ability to do so. … We think the time has come for Americans to tell the truth about guns. They are not for us; we cannot handle them. They kill people, our children included. It’s time to get rid of them. Period.”

“If anyone wants them, just come and get them. Molon Labe.”

You say that. I say that. But the truth is far harder.

In CT “They came for them”. The CT registration was an exercise in that very notion. I know of only ONE person who said “NO”, meant it, and did not comply. This man is a patriot and a role model, but there was a very big chance that this man could have turned out to be a dead patriot and role model.

Everyone else lined up and registered everything. Luckily, I left 2 months before the event. But if I were to stay, I would just leave instead of register. Just my un-asked for 2 cents.

“The UN wants The United States citizens disarmed.”

I want the UN Building in NYC to be reduced to a pile of rubble.

That’s not going to happen either.

Demo-rats always say they never want to take your guns. The only time they will say they want to take your guns is after they have already taken your guns.

It is sort of like kerry when he said, “I actually did vote for the $87 billion before I voted against it.”

That is how liberalism works.

I have a long time friend who moved to Australia just as the gun ban was put into place. She operates a horse breeding farm outside of town. Takes 2 hours to drive to get groceries. Nearest neighbor is about 20 minutes from her.

She has such a continuous flow of invaders & roamers that she finally had to get the nastiest dogs she could find. They are alert & they are nasty. She never had a nasty dog when she lived in So Calif. But she is hamstrung without a weapon.

If you can smuggle PEOPLE into the country——

people are far larger than a gun.

There are probably folks all throughout the spectrum. Don’t you hate to see the law-abiding taken advantage of?? I do appreciate your two cents.

I think I get a little nervous when they begin to talk about Common sense enslavement.

Last week, a thread posted said that $135 BILLION is spent YEARLY on illegals in the USA.

I did some math:

60 seconds in a minute X 60 minutes in an hour X 24 hours in a day X 365 days in the year.

Works out to 31,536,000 seconds per year.

Do the division & it costs the American taxpayers $4280.82 per SECOND to take care of all the illegals.

One second===$4280.82

One minute == # 25,684.92

One hour == $15,410,952.00

One day === $369,862,848.00

This has to be serious food for thought. Please pass this on to all the people you know who think the illegals here are not a burden to taxpayers.

NOW-—are we all ready to support Trump to get these people removed from our country???

How much ‘infrastructure replacement’ could we do with all this money???

There are plenty more places that this money could be used for the benefit of the taxpayers who are footing the bills.
