A GOP senator slammed President Trump on Wednesday night for his repeated threats to revoke the licenses of television networks over negative coverage.
Nebraska Sen. Ben Sasse questioned whether Trump was upholding his presidential oath to protect the constitution by making the threats on the media. “Mr. President: Words spoken by the President of the United States matter,” Sasse said in a statement.
“Are you tonight recanting of the oath you took on January 20th to preserve , protect, and defend the First Amendment?”
The statement caused reaction from former presidential candidate Jeb Bush who retweeted the remarks in a show of support.
Trump had tweeted earlier on Wednesday night “Network news has become so partisan, distorted and fake that licenses must be challenged and, if appropriate, revoked.”

Look at Project Veritas’ latest release. They interview a top guy at the New York Times who says flat-out that his job is to make Trump look like crap (and worse). They’re no longer a media organization, they are a political organization.
It’s difficult for me to even see why they should continue to expect First Amendment protection, given what they’ve become.

Absolutely. The democrat party and their propaganda arm, the fakestream media, are domestic enemies. The reason why America is on her deathbed.
Collins might vote with Democrats often on major/controversial votes, but I haven’t really seen her rushing to the media to bash Trump the way the three stooges (McCain, Graham, Sasse) do.
