President Trump openly threatened Wednesday to go after the licenses of NBC News and the "Networks," as he ratcheted up his complaints about "Fake News."
“With all of the Fake News coming out of NBC and the Networks, at what point is it appropriate to challenge their License? Bad for country!” Trump tweeted.
This was after he challenged the accuracy of an NBC News report that said he sought a “nearly tenfold increase” in the nuclear arsenal during a summer meeting.
“Fake @NBCNews made up a story that I wanted a ‘tenfold’ increase in our U.S. nuclear arsenal. Pure fiction, made up to demean. NBC=CNN!” Trump tweeted Wednesday.

Just a question... Could knowingly broadcasting false information which could be detrimental to the effectiveness of a government body under a federally issued broadcast licence be considered treason?

I believe Trump would be more effective if competition were returned to the media market place by repealing the legislation that requires cable subscribers to subsidize channels that they do not watch.
Many channels would fail if they didn’t receive payments from cable providers whose subscribes cannot choose the channels they subscribe to but must choose and subsidize a long list of channels with their monthly fees.
Let each channel fail or survive on its own merits including PBS.

NPR was started with funds from the Fulbright Foundation. Fulbright’s sister was Gloria Swanson of Swanson foods. Gloria Swanson’s grandson is Tucker Carlson.
Cable and TV watchers could in essence effectively “take a knee” and protest programming that they object to by not watching it. End cable company subsidies.
I’m beginning to wonder if treason exists. As much of it seems to be around these days, and nothing ever seems to happen to counter it.
