Amid the controversial protests and comments across the NFL, the Seattle Seahawks started a donation fund Friday for "equality and justice."
The team announced the “Seahawks Players Equality & Justice for All Action Fund” in a statement on their website, as a way to combat “injustice and inequality by supporting leadership and education programs.”
In a statement signed by the players, they said the program will fund “programs addressing equality and justice” with hopes to “build a more compassionate and inclusive society.”

The NFL is just an extension of the DNC.
These were all secular, human-willed efforts. There was a remarkable lack of effort to bring it under the name of God.
The movements that will count the most probably will start in churches, rather than in the halls of Congress.

I want to talk about whether we achieved the results. We are over 50 years into it now. Certainly enough time has passed for us to evaluate the results of our efforts.
As far as what the players are proposing here, so many similar efforts as they propose have been made over the decades. What results, if any, have come from those initiatives?
If blacks weren’t committing a disporportionate % of the crime then maybe they wouldn’t be feeling the effects of the cops srutinizing them.
I realize there are now and then bad cops..and there are those who seem trigger happy...but overall this seems to me to be based on looking like a member of a typical crime group. Maybe the good ones should be mad at their black crook brothers for making the look bad.
As I’ve said a few times before, my boss is black, a fine man I have upmost respect for. I sometimes feel bad that he might have been treated badly when he was younger because he has the same skin color as a bunch of thugs.
The beauty of going into a government career is you are NEVER held accountable for any results...except overspending your budget.
My sister is a teacher. Over the decades, she’s observed that the recipe for fixing last year’s failed educational fad is to (guess what?) create a shiny new fad this year. Which, of course, will be replaced by next year’s educational fad. Ad infinitum.
I’m with you about holding all of gov’t accountable for results. Until gov’t unions are abolished, that will not happen.

I will NOT be lectured about “injustice” and “inequality” by men who make more in a single year - often several times over - than most people earn in a lifetime.
I saw a thread on reddit (the donald) where they were calculating if x amount of fans donated a penny (you can do this on a cc) the Seahawks would lose thousands since they have to pay .35 transaction fee. Lol.
Ignorance is bliss. They do not even know what this is all about and even less on how to correct.
OK, that really did make me LOL because it is so true.
We already have a founding document that states "All Men Are Created Equal". Its what each individual decides to do with the opportunities is up to them, not this victimology they have all ignorantly bought in to.
