IMO < these people are afflicted with a form of mental illness. I’m not saying they are crazy, let’s face it, they are not able to function in harmony with the plumbing.
If we’re honest with ourselves, counseling makes more sense than a visit to the butcher shop.
Suggesting counseling makes them furious. Strangely it makes them more furious than if you told them to go get parts of their anatomy cut off.

We agree, but the stats are that transitioning makes the patient content 50% of the time. I think maybe that is a highish number, increased by the psychological effect of needing to bolster the incredible expense and mutilation you have undergone to achieve it. But no medical treatment for a serious disorder with only a 50% chance of “success” is a good treatment.
Clearly these poor people are born with a defect occurring in gestation, where their brain functions like that of the other gender. Honestly, think of what a hell that would be. My heart goes out to them.
We just don’t offer them ANY other treatment than the primitively binary SWITCH GENDERS! It’s now a glorified special group, rather than a horrible birth defect caused by the prenatal environment. No one wants to prevent these gender problems, they only want to worship those who have it. Not helpful.
If I could, since I do not know how to prevent this brain gender dysphoria, I’d ask that all children born this way be loved and accepted and allowed to be their genetic gender but live and play and dress as they wish. Tell the other kids, SOME BOYS LIKE TO WEAR DRESSES and whatever. It is ok, these kids can’t help it. Kids with Down Syndrome in class might still wear diapers. Some kids might eat through a straw in their bellies. Some kids with autism might spin toy car wheels all day. It is what it is. I’d forbid changing genders. It’s dumb. It’s medically not true. They can as adults live as they want but they need to know they are disabled. They need to own their gender disability. But they should be able to live their lives as they wish. Change your name, be Caitlyn, wear anything you want, fine. But you’re a male for life.

I have long been of the opinion that we lost the argument concerning deviant sexual behavior when we accepted the premise that same sex pairings involve SEXUALITY! Actually. there is no sexuality at all. This is actually asexual (non-sexual) behavior. Sexuality involves a coupling of one male and one female organism of the same species for purposes of reproduction. Since same sex unions cannot result in reproduction the behavior is non-sexual in nature. I prefer to call them homosensuals. They are having pleasure, but not sex. They should be counseled to understand this basic scientific truth. Homosexuals, gays, are not really sexual at all, they actually avoid sex. We must change the language and the paradigm to return the argument where it belongs. Sexuality is between a male and a female, any thing else is just sensuality for the purpose of pleasure. Thus Homosexuals become homosensuals and transexuals become transensuals. It isn’t a sickness when properly defined, it is merely aberrant behavior. They have every right to engage in this behavior, but they don’t have a right to inaccurately pass it off as sexual behavior and force its acceptance on sexual people. There is no third sex there is only male and female. Even the .001% of us who are born with both male and female sexual parts are just exceptions that prove the rule

I’ll give it more thought. What you say does make a certain level of sense. I’ll have to think about it to see if it’s something I want to incorporate into my beliefs. I wouldn’t be surprised if I wind up doing it.
