Roger Goodel Responds To Trump

Statement From NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell 2017 REGULAR ENGLISH

The following statement is in response to President Donald Trump’s comments last night...

STATEMENT FROM NFL COMMISSIONER ROGER GOODELL

The NFL and our players are at our best when we help create a sense of unity in our country and our culture. There is no better example than the amazing response from our clubs and players to the terrible natural disasters we've experienced over the last month. Divisive comments like these demonstrate an unfortunate lack of respect for the NFL, our great game and all of our players, and a failure to understand the overwhelming force for good our clubs and players represent in our communities.

Do you think the NFL is going to continue to make money after this stupid comment by Goodel?

The NFL will probably have the worst weekend in decades. I am sure more than a few people will notice.

Packers fan here. I didn’t always watch but usually had the Monday and Thursday nights NFL games on a tablet with the sound turned down. This season I purposely have not watched any of the midweek games.

Paul Tagliabue is still alive. Maybe the owners should consider bringing him back.

On the other hand, major league baseball seems to have eliminated most of the African American players from their ranks (something to do with no fathers to play catch with) and replaced them with black guys from the Caribbean. They don't seem to have the problems the NFL does. Maybe the NFL should consider financing american football programs at universities in Venezuela, Cuba, Puerto Rico and the DR?

How much respect do even the remaining fans have for Goodell and his NFL regime?

Every time he sticks his head up to make a liberally endorsed weaselly PC or anti-Trump remark he will lose more NFL fans.

The NFL and our players are at our best when we help create a sense of unity in our country and our culture.”

They have created a sense of disunity in our country and now complain that we respond with rejecting their message? What hypocrites. There was nothing that we liked more as a family than watching something that was apolitical. But no, liberals had to mess that up too. Thanks for nothing!

Not just the NFL, tv and cable are also losing a lot of money because of the boycott. I hope they all crash and burn.

‘The NFL and our players are at our best when we help create a sense of unity in our country’

This is their idea of unity

Ya know, Clet, big, Imp and Rummy-- Every time a certain schmuck that shall not be named adds our names to his numerous postings, it just proves that he is still a complete, worthless thug trying to impose his demand we think and do just as he says or else.

He still cannot see the wrongness of acting exactly like those Left Wing thugs such as Black Lives Matter do every day--

And just how often does that happen, Roger? Maybe Rog’ could explain how much money the players are actually paid, and why the so-called protests against the Star Spangled Banner are not considered, by him, to be divisive.

But this ridiiculous piece of fluff from Goodell is a good sign, it means something will now be done, even if it takes a little time.

“”” Divisive comments like these demonstrate an unfortunate lack of respect for the NFL”””

WOW. The NFL believes the game deserves respect as if the silly game were that important.

I am not a football watcher so my lack of interest has no financial impact.

I can only hope the diehard NFL fans say enough is enough and get rid of their addiction and never watch a silly NFL game again.

somehow it just doesn’t seem like a smart business decision to me for the head of the NFL to pick a fight with President Trump ..

Pittsburgh’s Rooney family and confused Jeffrey Lurie in Philadelphia undoubtedly agree with Goodell. Questionable whether there exists a majority of Leaguests owners who even understand their bottomline financial interest any longer. They had better wake up and smell the coffee soon.

At a time like this, Trump needs to go all ‘Christopher Walken’ on Goodell!

Going to the games, even wearing clown shirts, doesn’t faze Goodell. Only when fans go to the game as empty seats, will the smart NFL people take notice.
