Meghan McCain is reportedly in talks to join ABC's "The View."
CNN, citing unidentified sources familiar with the discussions, reported that McCain is in late-stage talks with the show. A deal has not been finished, however.
The news comes after Jedediah Bila said Monday that she is leaving the program. She called her time on "The View" an "amazing journey."
McCain announced last week she was leaving Fox News, where she was a co-host of "Outnumbered."
She wrote on Twitter she was "thankful" to Fox News for the opportunity but was leaving to "focus on other things."
"I have no doubt the show will continue to do well and wish all my friends and colleagues at the network nothing but success," she wrote.
McCain's father, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), is currently battling brain cancer. She said in a July statement her father has remained "confident and calm" since his diagnosis.

That’s the problem. They won’t criticize her “daddy”. After all, he’s the “Maverick”...and he’s also a Democrat.
She belongs on the view more than she belongs in her daddy’s senate seat.
What makes you think they would be critical of her demlite dad?
I thought she was on hiatus from Fox because of her father’s illness, but perhaps more was going on behind the scenes.

Megan McCain as a conservative? I guess to ‘The (Idiotics) View’ she would be a conservative. If I had a choice between The View or SpongeBob to watch, I’d watch SpongeBob...it’s more realistic.
