The journalists on MSNBC and CNN on Tuesday continued to be annoyed that Donald Trump hasn’t connected Hurricanes Harvey and Irma to global warming. MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle offered a snide aside in a story on Pope Francis. She began,“ In the wake of Hurricane Irma, Pope Francis is criticizing climate change deniers.”
Going off script, Ruhle mocked the head of Trump’s Environmental Protection Agency: “You hear that, Scott Pruitt?” The co-anchor continued, “Speaking to reporters as he flew over devastated areas in the Caribbean, the Pope warned history will judge the world leaders who do not act.”
Snide MSNBC Uses Pope to Take Shot at Climate Denier Scott Pruitt
While relating the damage from Irma, CNN’s Dave Briggs connected, “That's the second record breaking hurricane in weeks. Climate change back in focus but the White House won't draw a connection between global warming and this outbreak of wild weather.”
On Monday, both ABC and CBS freaked out over a possible connection between the storms and global warming.
During live coverage this weekend, MSNBC hosts fretted that there’s not enough climate change talk. Host Ali Velshi described Irma as the “perfect time” to have a warming discussion.
Transcripts of the two moments on MSNBC and CNN can be found below:

For quite a few years, no major hurricanes hit the US. The whackos were saying that was....climate change.
Even the scientists won’t do that.
b/c they can’t.
Period.
No fancy dancing philosophy TToE nonsense. They just can’t. Their models don’t work for a week much less decades.
The two mega-corps that control a vast majority of TV, new and Internet services in our area.
That’s the current meme. The left over hyped the two storms, 24/7, not out of concern for the victims, but to provide a background for the forthcoming attack on Trump over “global warming.”
We’ll be hearing about “global warming” and how Trump denies it for about 1 week, then it’ll be on to something else.
Sadly the truth in too many regions.
This is exactly what Rush Limbaugh accused the Left of doing.
He said they were gaming the hurricanes to advance the Leftist Man Caused Global Warming claims.
He was right, and was demagogued for it.
For the last 100 years, Florida has been hit by a Category 4 or Category 5 hurricane on average once every 8.3 years.
These twits don’t have an ounce of sense among them.
For 20+ years these “Chicken Little” wannabe’s told us that hurricanes and tornadoes would be more frequent and more severe. Exactly the opposite occurred. So now we have a couple of major events back-to-back, and they’re claiming this as proof!?! Bull-squeeze.
Of course they’re setting records for dollar-value of loss, and number of people affected - there are more people and property values have gone up dramatically. DUH!
And, as usual, they’re trying to compare one or two storms against all of history, when there have only been decent records of the strength of storms less than a century. The reality is that only since the first satellites were launched have we even had a good idea of the total size of some hurricanes. The past 100 years is less than 5% of the time past since Jesus!
Think of it this way. Imagine one of the climate alarmists standing by a roulette wheel. Day in, day out, for 20 years he stands there and pronounces that due to man-made global climate impacts, the earths orbit has been impacted and, as a result, 23 red is going to come up on the next spin. Eventually, he’s going to be there when 23 red DOES come up - and he says “SEE, I TOLD YOU SO!”.
Unbelievable!
My son graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans right after Katrina. 2006? The speakers were Bush Senior and Bill Clinton.
Clinton said global warming started this decade which means it did not exist during his terms and started once W took office.
He said it caused Katrina and will cause massive hurricanes every year forward.
Of course all the liberal idiots stood up and cheered. I sat and laughed out loud.
That made me certain that the whole global warming/cooling/change thing is a hoax.
I have AT&T for my smartphone. My husband uses Verizon
Well, for 12 years it was a hoax, based on what Clinton said.
His prediction was a category 5 falsehood.
climate change deniers = infidels
Because global warming is a religion.
Here is a list for TEXAS for the last 500 years. Some centuries have few because no one was there to write about them even though they hit other areas.. The list begins on page 8.

I think cnn is responsible for any degradation of the climate.
Their forecast changed day by day, and was generally wrong day by day, and they want me to trust a forecast by them one hundred years out?
They are the ones denying the obvious.
No kidding. The Wall Street Journal ran nearly a full page, explaining in calm, assured, utterly bogus prose why the storm didn't do what all the panic-mongers promised it would do.
Turns out a whole lot of (unpredictable) little things have to happen in order to produce a good, first-class, deadly climate-change hurricane, and this damnable Irma refused to cooperate.
