With climate change upon us, where’s the safest place in California to live?

If climate change is a given, what’s the best place to live? Or, maybe, the least-worst?

It’s not an easy question. Just asking it feels somehow simultaneously obvious and alarmist.

There’s no place to hide from global warming, by definition. And until recently climate change wasn’t supposed to be a given.

If you were on the right, it wasn’t supposed to exist. If you were on the left, it was supposed to be something humanity could put the brakes on. If you were in the middle, it was one of those things to worry about later, like your 401(k) or North Korea.

So where to outrun the coming catastrophe? And is it possible for a Californian to outrun it and still be in California? Titley, who has lived in Monterey and San Diego, but now lives in climate resilient Pennsylvania, was one of several climate scientists who generously shared their perspectives with me.

The good news is, California knows how to do this, Frances C. Moore, an assistant professor of environmental economics at UC Davis told me. The whole state is already engineered, and rich enough to double down, if needed.

“As relatively wealthy places, the United States and California are in a better position to manage the adverse consequences of climate change,” Moore reminded. California’s grid is set up to supply air conditioning to hot places. Infrastructure is a core competency in this state. And, most crucially, policymakers get its importance.

“We know we have a problem, and we know that we can reduce greenhouse gases that are a primary driver,” Moore said.

1. Purchase a kayak
2. put kayak in ocean

4. stop paddling and wait

They insert the climate change lie in almost every article they do.
Do you have terrorists?
Climate change!
Don’t like the current president?
Climate change!
A hurricane you say?
Climate change!
Wages too low for fast food workers?
Climate change!
Men wearing dresses that are stunning and brave?
Climate change!

This is the end, my friend

The safest place to live in Kalifornia is where the people don't even consider themselves part of the state anymore.

It is where the people have prepared for long winters, big pantries, have their own water, and do not want the flat-lander liberal city slickers to do anything more than visit for short periods, leave their money, then go the hell home and leave us alone.

We do not want you living here because we detest your politics and the way you always want to change anything and everything you get near.

We do not want you here because you would hate the “everybody is armed” society and bitch about it and we get tired of telling flatlanders to STFU.

We have no use for your cities and no use for the liberals who live there trying to tell us how to live. So do us all a favor and stay home already.

These same liberal morons are trying to become their own state. What a crock of total BS.

I'm a long term vet and proud of my citizenship. I do not plan to move or to every recognize any other nation as my own. This attitude is shared by most of the people who live outside of the beehive socialist cities.

I am a proud, armed and able american citizen who believes in the oath I took when I entered the military. I am not moving, I am not giving up my 2A rights, and I am not going to give up my citizenship to the USA.

So, what are you liberal morons going to do about it and who are the brave ones who will have grieving families if they try? I don't mind dying here to fulfill my oath, do you morons mind dying here to keep my from my honorable and earned US constitutional rights?

There are lots of us out here who have no intention of ever being part of your new country.

Climate change? What, did it snow in LA or San Diego? I don’t see a mass exodus, just an infestation of illegal aliens. It is a great question, is climate change real since no one is moving or are these like frogs sitting a pot of warming water?

do not deny G.I. is not real because that proves you suffer from it.
