PayPal Bans Jihad Watch from Accepting Donations

Online payment company PayPal has banned Jihad Watch and the site’s director Robert Spencer from accepting online donations using the service. PayPal has reportedly suspended the account of Jihad Watch, according to the website’s director, Robert Spencer. In a post on Jihad Watch calling for the boycott of PayPal, Spencer outlined his correspondence with the company over a number of emails. PayPal’s suspension of Spencer’s account came shortly after an article published by Lauren Kirchner of ProPublica who criticized tech companies such as PayPal that allow Jihad Watch to utilize their online services.

“Because of its “extreme hostility toward Muslims,” the website Jihadwatch.org is considered an active hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center and the Anti-Defamation League,” wrote Kirchner. “But its designation as a hate site hasn’t stopped tech companies — including PayPal, Amazon, and Newsmax — from maintaining partnerships with Jihad Watch that help to sustain it financially.”

Shortly after the publication of this article that PayPal contacted Spencer with an email which stated,

Dear Robert Spencer,

We have recently reviewed your usage of PayPal’s services, as reflected in our records and on your website https://www.jihadwatch.org. Due to the nature of your activities, we have chosen to discontinue service to you in accordance with PayPal’s User Agreement. As a result, we have placed a permanent limitation on your account.

We ask that you please remove all references to PayPal from your website. This includes removing PayPal as a payment option, as well as the PayPal logo and/or shopping cart.

If you have a remaining balance, you may withdraw the money to your bank account. Information on how to withdraw money from your PayPal account can be found via our Help Center.

Several Christian Ministry groups use donations from PAYPAL.
It’s coming very soon when they will be banned for spreading “hate” also.

I just noticed that iTunes has an ad for donations to the far left group called the Southern Poverty Law Center. The ad actually boast that it promotes tolerance. Of course it does not mention that tolerance only applies to the left wing ideology that they agree with. I sent Apple a message reminding them that I spend hubdrends and sometimes thousands of dollars a year on iTunes and that I am so offended that I may cease doing business with them. Will they respond the way I would like? Of course not. Just like the SPLC they are more interested in spreading socialism than the well being of their shareholders.

If we had an Attorney General with the gonads to start asking the right questions, companies like PayPal might get seized for being financiers of Terrorism.

Instead we have Jeff Feckless.

I have NEVER used PayPal. If I can’t use my own credit card to buy directly from the vendor online, I cancel the sale. I will NOT help enrich that den of common thieves.

Apple CEO Tim Cook just pledged $1 million to the vile SPLC.

Well.....

Back in the days before Odumba...I actually sold and bot...thousands of $$ on the bay....

And once the bay took over pay pal...it worked rather very smooth.

The bay is not a questionable website...as you say.

Not at all.......

Yes, I think you are right. It's hard to keep all the names straight which are floating around.

My primary point is that I now have great concern over any attempts to suppress people's opinions, even bad people. The "BAKE THE CAKE" gaystapo convinced me that what people think of as "hate speech" is subject to change based on who gets power.

Here in the US, Christianity is a very short distance away from being "hate speech", as it is now regarded in England.

The authoritarian left is going after sites for “ racism” “ hate speech” etc and pressuring companies like paypal and credit cards to drop them

And Youtube is "demonetizing" videos so advertisers can't pay them and then hiding the videos where no search will pull them up. Google is doing the same thing.

Originally they said they would be implementing these policy changes to fight terrorism. I guess their definition of "terrorist" is different from what many expected.

Are Paypal going to mailout a yellow armband as well? This is totalitarian. And double standard city. You must bake cakes for those who you don’t approve of but you don’t have to use Paypal etc?

Instead we have Jeff Feckless.

People say he's just biding his time, waiting for just the right moment to explode in a ball of fire and fury!

I hope they're right because as of this moment, when I think of Jeff Sessions, the words "profound disappointment" come to mind.

Outrageous. Jihad Watch does yeoman’s work in exposing Islamists, Wahabbis, Pakis, Khalistanis etc. Is MEMRI next?

When I ran ROPMA (Religion Of Peace My Ass!) Jihad Watch and MEMRI were two of my biggest referral sites because of the excellent work they did.

I'm closing my Paypal Account today. Haven't used it in a few years anyway, as good a time as any to tell them I'm closing it because they're libbie assholes....
