My Premises To Enliven Conversation with old hippy heads, anti-american feral S11 protestors, United Nations 'utopians', and sundry under-grads.

(lib·er·al - noun: ¹A person who is so open-minded that their brains have fallen out). (grt fr tag)

At their core, these enemies of a strong and patriotic American worldview are dreaming and salivating over a global federation. A federation of some constitutional flavor other than the largely judeo-christian heritage of the US Constitution... a federation most closely modelled after the Europian Union perhaps. This automatically includes such ideas as a thoroughly Politically Correct World Court appointed above the Supreme Court, etc.

In sum, they seek to rid the world of its big welfare and war problems all due to the USA (in their strange view). They seek to cut the USA down a few pegs, remove our sovereignty and make the first world citizenry subject to a big global Government. (Raise the UN flag, lower the Stars and Stripes. This is the great liberal motivation, their 'unholy grail'.)

So how to debunk their plans and plots for a global utopia? Hypotheticals can shed some light in the darkness:

Premise 1: allow for some extrapolation of the current surge of secular humanism... fast forward to a time when the 'social justice' engineers construct a global and valid form of government, ie based on Universal Suffrage with legislation based on those good ol' ironclad Human Rights... which are subject to lawful Executive Orders from time to time, which can temporarily be suspended 'for the greater good' (cite Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, N Korea, Cuba)... (FX: fade-in children's choir singing Lennon's Imagine, the adolescent anthem)...

Premise 2: the global people's House of Reps is duly elected and they fill the seats of a glorious People's Congress building somewhere... and firstly they deal with the all-important budget session, in a glorious federation that dwarfs the global jerrymander that was the UN Security Council etc...

Premise 3: "follow the money". The money bill, having passed thru the hands of the People's Representatives -dominated due to population size- by China, India, Africa, etc- then goes up to the People's Senate, which is again dominated by the large population national Senators... but where the minor populations -Canada, France, UK, NZ, Australia, etc- have at least a modicum of Senators -a quota...

Premise 4: the budget passes on the votes - the revenue is then gathered from the first world (because no-one else has much money) and is spent predominantly in the third world... straightforward eh?

Premise 5: enforcement of the law - velvet glove and iron fist applies equally and globally to all - but remember the principles of good government... number one:
"NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION".

...so then... the Gramscian-putsch for the global utopia is flawed and the ensuing conflict is pretty predictable.

Note that none of the above premises mentioned cultural, religious, or racial conflict. Debunking utopian daydreams can be done validly without pushing those 'hot buttons'...

....TIME FILLING "LINK LUCKY DIP"...

If pictures are worth a thousand words... what are worldview links worth?

"If you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed. If you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not so costly, you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance for survival. There may be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no chance of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves."
- Winston Churchill
