A new poll shows former Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore with a commanding lead over Luther Strange, the Washington establishment backed candidate, heading into the GOP primary runoff for the Alabama U.S. Senate seat left open this year. The poll from JMC Analytics provided to Breitbart News ahead of its public release shows Moore with 51 percent, a majority, supporting him, while Strange trails nearly 20 points behind with just 32 percent—and 17 percent are undecided. Moore’s commanding lead comes after he outperformed polls to finish around 39 percent in a multi-way primary this past Tuesday. Strange finished the first round of voting with just under 33 percent, and this poll seems to indicate that Moore is the only candidate gaining more votes while Strange is stuck with a ceiling of what he got on primary day before the runoff.

I strongly suspect Trump will be pleased as punch to see Moore win.
Since being appointed to fill Session’s seat, Luther Strange has voted for the Trump agenda pretty much 100%. It would be a slap in the face for Trump not to endorse a sitting senator for that loyalty. Trump is showing the rest of the senators that if they are loyal to him, he’ll return the favor.

I agree that Trump cannot simply reject any Senator who is supported by the GOP establishment. Big difference in the public statements of Strange and Jeff Flake. Trump has this right.

The difference between Luther Strange & Flake is that Flake is serving a full SAFE 6-year term and Strange was appointed (NOT elected) earlier this year. I would strongly expect that should Strange get elected (for the secure 6-year term) he would become very FLAKE-like and subvert Trump’s agenda.

Luther Strange is a villain in the upcoming “Superman and Batman Join Forces” movie.
He wouldn’t be leading.
Everyone in Alabama knows he called the dogs of in the investigation of Gov. Bentley’s sex tape scandal in exchange for the appointment to Jeff Sessions senate seat.
Everybody with half a brain knows that Trump is only saying he supports Strange to placate that scumbag McConnell.
If Trump really supported Strange, he would be leading.
