Et Tu, Senator Corker?

President Trump should be as wary of entering the Senate chambers as Julius Caesar should have been that fateful day in the Roman Senate. While Trump’s physical safety is assured, character assassins like Tennessee GOP Sen. Bob Corker await. Corker, who is up for reelection in 2018, has announced with his remarks about President Trump’s stability and competence, Corker’s lack of both:

Sen. Bob Corker delivered his harshest criticism of President Trump yet, telling an audience in Chattanooga on Thursday that Trump has not demonstrated that he understands the character of the nation and has not shown the competence needed to lead. "The president has not yet been able to demonstrate the stability, nor some of the competence, that he needs to demonstrate in order for him to be successful -- and our nation and our world needs for him to be successful, whether you are Republican or Democrat,” the Tennessee Republican said at a Rotary Club meeting in Chattanooga…

“He also recently has not demonstrated that he understands the character of this nation,” Corker told reporters following his luncheon address. “He has not demonstrated that he understands what has made this nation great and what it is today. And he’s got to demonstrate the characteristics of a president who understands that. Without the things I just mentioned happening, our nation is going to go through great peril.”

Sometimes I wonder if Trump should lay low and play the game to get to term two. However in the Social Media days of instant information I think the base would get restless if they saw him truly cucking out. (not like yesterday where he says something one way while implying something else)

Corker and his ilk are really arrogant. I don’t think they understand how big the Alt-Right will become. Dank Memes with edgy humor are converting millions of young males. The Boomers who sold us all out are dying off.

He owes his allegiance to the Party that set up his primary victories by diluting the conservative vote, not to the people.

This article from June named two possible opponents for Corker: a State representative Andy Holt (Tea Party connections) and Larry Crim, CEO of Christian Counseling Centers of America Inc. and president of Veterans Comprehensive Network Inc.

Everyone I know here in TN despises Corker. Alexander, too. Hard to figure out how they get elected. Guess its the same reason Traitor McCain continues to be elected in spite of his awfulness.

The Amnesty Senators MUST GO!

Corker, Hatch, Heller and Flake in 2018

Graham and Alexander in 2020

Murkowsky, Hoeven and Rubio in 2022

McCain won’t make his next election.

Name them and primary them. There should be a public registry of anti-Trump republicans. Maybe even here at FR.

My exact thought......Et tu Corker and other Republicans! If they’re so upset about statues, etc. why didn’t they do something during all the years they’ve been in Congress?? Hypocrites! imho, they are and have been cowards! Try to stay on the political correct side; well, we’ll see how well that serves them in the future. Pres Trump may not speak in flowery terms but he has courage to stand up for America!

Corker is just a demonrat that ran a Rep because only Rep’s can be elected in that state.

If Tenn was to turn blue, Corker would switch in a NY minute.

tennesseestar.com/.../poll-senator-bob-corker-may-be-in-trouble-with-tennessee-repub

When asked “As of now, do you think Bob Corker deserves re-election or is it time to give someone else a chance? ” only 41.1 percent of likely Republican primary voters in Tennessee said he “deserves re-election.”

Looks as though this problem will solve itself!!!

I live in Chattanooga. There is a Tea Party State Representitive who is contemplating running against Corker in the Sept 2018 primary. His name is Andy Holt and we should do everything to support his quest to unseat Corker.

No, because TN has a history of electing squishy, pansy-ass Republicans.

While everyone is watching Antifa and BLM make like the Brownshirts of old, the GOP and their Media plants are stabbing Trump in the back.

“He also recently has not demonstrated that he understands the character of this nation,” Corker told reporters following his luncheon address.

I do not think that Corker realizes that he is talking about himself, because Corker himself has not demonstrated that he understands the character of this nation.

Corker makes up what Trump says to suit himself. And then he criticizes Trump because he does not like him. This is to the detriment of the people Corker represents and especially to the people who voted for Trump.

Corker should get out of politics if he is not going to do his job, but only spill out hate toward our President. This bitter behavior serves no purpose and does not help the Trump agenda to improve the quality of life, job opportunities, less crime, less regulation, etc.

Does Corker listen to his constituents or only to CNN and fellow Trump haters?

Remember TN has open voting in primaries.... democrats, independents, libertarians and illegals can vote in any primary. Democrats are bad about trying to pick our candidates for us in primary elections. These are probably the votes little Bobby Corker is going after. I think he knows he is toast in the primaries with the Trump republicans here in TN. Of course the governor and mayor of Nashville and two thirds of Memphis will be with him.
