The current push to tear down American history is being made by white liberal elites who use the black community as a battering ram against other ethnic groups.

I still think Trump should clarify his remarks about Charlottesville and really try to offer encouragement for racial healing but without capitulating. He should talk about Antifa and do this in an address without the press badgering him.
