There were innocent protestors on both sides, likely many more against the white supremacists. But it was the violent antifa's that came prepared armed to the hilt with clubs, bats, rocks, etc. to do battle as clearly seen in the videos.

Trump said there was violence on both sides. He did NOT defend the KKK or the Nazis... he defended the people the night before who objected to a statue being torn down.
