President Donald Trump denounced hate groups at the White House on Monday, responding to critics of his response to the violence in Charlottesville, Virgina surrounding an alt-right rally.
“Racism is evil. And those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, Neo-Nazis, White Supremacists, and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans,” Trump said.
The president made his remarks in the Diplomatic Reception Room at the White House after meeting with Attorney General Jeff Sessions and the FBI Director Chris Wray.
Trump specifically named Heather Heyer, the 32-year-old woman killed during the protests after a reported Nazi sympathizer drove his car into a crowd of counter protesters.
“We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence,” he said.

I certainly hope you are right. From what it looks like to me is that the rights of the UTR people were violated, because the police whose job it was to ensure order, failed to do so, and I’m sure that was at the orders of the mayor, and probably the governor.
Years ago my high school was desegregated by court order to “cure” racism. It didn’t but that’s a whole other story. We had a “rainbow coalition” club at the school (Jesse Jacksons group)that decided to hold an overnight lock in to raise funds. Lots of publicity by the school and many students showed up of all colors. So did a lot of the non-student gang member friends of the bused in youths.
As the night wore on things were discovered missing (my friends shoes for one while we went swimming) threats were being made and things rapidly spiraled out of control as the chaperones were outnumbered. They decided to end the lock down early and announced it in the cafeteria - a black riot promptly ensued claiming it was all racist and calls rang out to trash the school including some minor fires. My friends and I made a lucky retreat before the cops showed up.
The press never reported it.
The next school day the principal gave a speech about how it was all OUR fault that things had gotten out of hand and we should be ashamed.
Yeah right. This was 40 years ago and NOTHING has changed.
It's impossible to keep up the silly race narrative when the only fatality in Saturday's incident was a young white woman.

To the extent they created the situation that put Trump to the test, I agree. Unfortunately, he just failed the test, and miserably. All he had to say was “Antifa” and “BLM”.
Actually, I would have just settled for “Anitfa”. Now I know where he stands on defending the constitution. If you are on the right, bow down to your leftist masters!

Trump stepped in it again, but he was right in criticizing both sides. You don't show up in combat gear and face masks to a peaceful protest. Both sides did this.
If the cops didn't break it up hundreds would have died. and none of them would have been innocent.

Trump made the original point and was obviously forced to capitulate. Pence went belly up right off the bat just like he did with RFRA - just like he did with any conservative action - at the slightest push back Pence turned tail and sold us out.
No. He's only about half right. He left out Antifa, Resist, BLM, and the rest of the violent idiots on the LEFT.

It was a long term problem. The right wasn’t ready. No government fiat applied in Charlottesville. Not the same.
Racism always ends in Evil. Be it White Racism, Brown Racism, Yellow Racism, etc...
And yes, folks from every other sub-set of our Species can be just as Racist as any other. They are all equally stupid.

I really loved his initial statement, but then to backtrack?? Also sessions calling this a terrorist attack? Whatever happened to: ‘lets not rush to judgement’?
Sometimes you have to run silent and run deep. All racism means lefty racism too.
