WASHINGTON — The U.S. Capitol Police Department opened an internal investigation into why its elite tactical team was initially directed to respond to the wrong location when a gunman opened fire last month at a GOP congressional baseball practice, according to two people familiar with the matter.
Instead of responding directly to the Virginia field where House Majority Whip Steve Scalise and several others were shot, members of the Capitol Police Containment and Emergency Response Team were signaled instead to go to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s house in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, several miles away,

I have a special interest in this because I do tactical comms for my agency, and we have to talk with everybody.
We were lucky. Many more Republicans could have been shot and killed if the Bernie bastard was a better shot or the Cap Police assigned were not there.
Yes it requires money. So it’s ironic this occurred at a venue, D.C., that has the highest number of wealthy people in the country.
Seems even with the best systems, they can’t get things right in D.C.

Cuz the Capitol Police were widely known as SERVILE to liberal political interests in DC and technically INCOMPETANT:

I find it real difficult to believe the CERT team doesn’t have the addresses of prominent administration figures and elected officials drilled into their brains. And know where they’ll stage if they do get a call to those addresses.

Don’t think the media can allow a commercial made using them by Miller’s and explain what they are doing. Even Nancy wouldn’t survive that one. And she’s too mind dead to grasp the situation. She would want to make the commercial first to understand that it means they went to the wrong place to stall the ability of the shooter to get caught and escape or kill more people. She’s done it before.

USCP already has a good radio system, they just need to activate a few features. One of the challenges in the last decade has been that the FCC keeps selling public safety spectrum off to commercial users. That has meant that money which could have been spent on added featurea, like force tracking, has been spent on rebanding and transitioning to trunked radio systems.
The FCC should be eliminate, replaced or completely restructured.
