POTUS SLAMS SESSIONS AGAIN: He Endorsed Me Because of Big Crowds, Not Loyalty

In a brief interview with the Wall Street Journal, President Trump ripped into Attorney General Sessions once again. This time, the President cut even deeper, suggesting Sessions endorsed him because of Trump’s success as a candidate, not out of loyalty.

President Donald Trump  expressed his disappointment in Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Tuesday and questioned the importance of Mr. Sessions’s early endorsement of Mr. Trump’s candidacy, but the president declined to say whether he planned to fire him.

“It’s not like a great loyal thing about the endorsement,” Mr. Trump said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal. “I’m very disappointed in Jeff Sessions.”

While the President is still mum on his plans concerning Sessions, Scaramucci told NBC News a decision on the AG’s future will be made ‘shortly.’

For whatever reason Sessions is not going after the people that have committed massive high crimes Hillary Clinton.

Sessions is letting the fake narrative of the Russians story go on and on and on. Instead of unrecusing himself and firing the corrupt Murller.

Instead Sessions is more concerned with MS13, people smoking pot and the controversial practice of seizing property before people have their day in court.

>>I have thought they are sweating the little fish to work their way up the chain, taking Hillary and the other criminals in Government down once they have the confessions and documentation from underlings.
************************************************************’Originally, I bought into this concept as well.

Then I realized....they already have more than they need (ex. Weiner’s laptop) to nail her, Podesta, etc.

You honestly believe Sessions talked to Trump about his recusal prior to going public with it? All Trump’s comments indicate that he was broadsided.

I don't know and neither do you. I do know that all concerned had more than a month while this issue was in the media daily where they could have gotten together and made a team decision. That didn't happen. It should have. Why didn't it?

So your theory is that Hillary’s a closet cannabis user?

This is all real simple and nobody has figured it out. They are going after his family. He thinks if he had not appointed Jeff Sessions this wouldn’t be happening. He also thinks it’s unfair that they go after his son and son in law and Hillary is going Scott free.

If Sessions was smart he would figure this out and do everything in his power to bring the other side to justice. I fear he will not

I think Cruz is good in the Senate right now as he has done the most work trying to get Trump healthcare passed. Most likely will do so with tax reform.

“In light of these comments that are clearly idiotic, I’d say President Trump is putting all this nonsense out there to hide what is really going on here in terms of AG Sessions.”

You make good points in your post!

So what is really going on here?

I will put my faith in the president. He has his reasons, and we may never know what exactly they are. He’s not a stupid nor reckless man. His presidency is being damaged because he has NO ONE but Pence and now that slick fella he’s got for his new spokesman. As strong as he is, it’s got to be taking a toll on him, and subsequently us! Whether or not Mr. Sessions is a loyal supporter or not, he’s not able to do his #1 job!!!

I am sick of this. I like Jeff Sessions, but the president needs somebody in that position he can rely on for every single thing he needs from his AG. Jeff Sessions is compromised. Not perhaps with loyalty, but because of his recusal. Simple as that. He’s not doing what the president needs him to be doing it’s not complicated

It’s silly to keep harping on that. Those things are mostly internal and outsiders know little or nothing about it.

“...It’s amazing how many seers and mind readers we have when it comes to knowing exactly what has and had not taken place within the Trump administration...”

Your comment goes right to the heart of this whole discussion...

I doubt anyone in here knows exactly what is really going on behind the scenes of this Trump/Sessions thing...

It is all conjecture and guesses...

‘I do know that all concerned had more than a month while this issue was in the media daily where they could have gotten together and made a team decision. That didn’t happen. It should have. Why didn’t it?’

The only rational answer to your question is that Trump had no idea recusal was even on the table.

-- Perhaps Trump is taking it public because private didn't work. --

As a political matter, Trump has to justify the decision to the public. Whther he does that before or after depends on the situation. Brownie got fired after a public "good job, Brownie" but a public PR nightmare re: Katrina.

Trump is providing the Katrina for Sessions.

Hi, FW! These are probably the same people who didn’t believe it when Trump said Comey told him 3 times that he wasn’t under investigation.

These people are hysterics. We have 4 long years with them, my FRiend.

He gave his reasons... I just disagree that Trump should be doing drip drip attacks on Sessions on Twitter. Fire him, ask him to resign, but it does not help to go ugly every day... because Sessions is liked...no fighter, but liked anyway.. by congress and non fighters.

I always liked Christie but he does some things
I really dont understand, like recently vetoing a bill to make the legal age for matrimony eighteen, due to religious and cultural concerns.

I will say this, everything Trump says about Sessions in comment #47 is patently false. Do you believe every word of it? I'll copy it forward.

“When they say he endorsed me, I went to Alabama,” Mr. Trump said on Tuesday, recalling the endorsement. “I had 40,000 people. He was a senator from Alabama. I won the state by a lot, massive numbers. A lot of the states I won by massive numbers. But he was a senator, he looks at 40,000 people and he probably says, ’What do I have to lose?’ And he endorsed me. So it’s not like a great loyal thing about the endorsement. But I’m very disappointed in Jeff Sessions.”

From the WSJ article

You 100% with that, and what it implies?

I am simply providing evidence that Trump doesn’t lie. By constantly saying that we don’t know what goes on between Sessions and Trump, you are mistaken. Trump has spoken about what has gone on between them - or at least said what didn’t occur between them. And that he didn’t know about the recusal. That is a sticking point with Trump as well it should be.

Do you think he was lying when he said Comey told him 3 times he wasn’t under investigation? Or that it shows that we know thing about what goes on at the WH?

“I expect resignation tomorrow, now.”

But 4chan is saying everything about this will play out on Thursday.

I hope against hope that 4chan is correct.

Otherwise, I’m gonna have to do some serious Trump reevaluating!

You nailed it. No matter how much adversity Trump, by God’s grace, overcomes, and no matter what he accomplishes against all odds, we still have to wade hip deep through the negativity. It got old during the primaries...and it’s beyond that point now.

No one here has supported Trump more than I have. I declared for him in June 2015, I worked for him, I voted for him twice, I hope he is our President until 2025.

But these comments about the endorsement, if they are accurate, are disgraceful.
