Did I telegraph the mutiny on the Storm or the death of Dr. V.A. too much? Did you see them coming from way back?
Can we please paradrop you in to ‘splain this simple fact of reality to our doltish perfumed generals, who are wedded to national ideals in a geographical region that was never a nation, and never saw itself that way?
I applaud our President who said what had to be said concerning Afghanistan. The last Kenyan Jerkoff has blood on his hands using our soldiers as pawns and neglected them like stepchildren.
Send author Stephen Pressfield. He made a documentery about it. It was an interview with him that really opened my eyes to a lot of this. Also his novel The Afghan Campaign about Alexander the Great’s campaign that’s highly relevant to understanding the place. We tend to think if it as Islamic, but it was the same a thousand years before Islam. Islamic law just codified the existing tribal culture.
Nope. Not at all. I certainly didn’t expect the mutiny. And the good Doctor went just the way he should have.
And not a single morphing Glock. All in all a very good read. I’m looking forward to the next one. So get busy, slacker.

Alexander the Great “won”, sort of. He defeated their armies, then exterminated every village that supported the fighters. After five years or so Oxyartes, the main “king” opposing him agreed to swear allegience in exchange for continued rule, and Alexander married his daughter Roxana to seal the deal.
They also broke his leg in a skirmish. Alexander did suppress them for a time. Genghis did better.
To fix the place would take nothing less than full genocide, which Genghis attempted, but lacked the means to complete.
It could be done, but why? It has rocks, goat turds, goat pokers and poppies. That’s about the inventory.
I agree, good move President Trump!
Glad to hear the mutiny wasn’t seen to far ahead. I need to do some other things (like sail to Ireland) before I go back into my total immersion writing cave, which is the only way I can write novels.
...except Alexander the Great and Genghis Khan.
Knock off the spoilers. Someone else around here might get around to reading it too, y’know.
AND South Korea!
In fact, as of Oct0ober, 2015 (latest available), the USA has 150,000 + troops scattered in 150 countries around the world!
Time to bringem home!
