The much-anticipated movie “Dunkirk” opens this weekend in theaters.
USA Today contributor and Social Justice Warrior Brian Truitt blasted the movie this week for not including women and actors of color — in the Dunkirk battle story!
That’s how insane the left has become!

USA Today’s Brian Truitt describes himself as a “shameless geek,” but oddly enough omits the fact that he is also just as shamelessly ignorant when it comes to the signaling of his own CorrectThink virtue.
In his review of Dunkirk, director Christopher Nolan’s big-budget look (opening this weekend) at an actual historical event that took place in the early days of World War II, Truitt offers potential ticket-buyers the following trigger warning:
The trio of timelines can be jarring as you figure out how they all fit, and the fact that there are only a couple of women and no lead actors of color may rub some the wrong way.

There is a movie called Atonement that had a harrowing scene of the Dunkirk evacuation in which there is a black soldier. It has resulted in a lot of debate on line but apparently British troops were not racially segregated. Anyway, happy to see Dunkirk does not have Denxel Washington or Morgan Freeman playing a British military officer.
They should do a remake of “Malcolm X” with the lead played by a an overt gay Mexican.

If they want to watch a war movie with a lot of “Actors of Color” I suggest they watch “Zulu.”

The British had plenty of colored people under arms in both WWI and WWII from the empire - Sepoys from India and soldiers from South Africa, Rhodesia, etc. It just so happens they were not among the British Expeditionary Force that got routed out of France.
And what’s the point of a movie about Dunkirk anyway? I like movies about battles we won, not ones where we got routed. Kind of like President Trump and the kind of war heroes he likes.

I can see their point. Movies like Shaft, Malcolm X, Harlem Nights. Movies like dat. They never did have enough white folks in them.
To your point, Churchill warned that while the evacuation at Dunkirk was miraculous, a retreat should not be mistaken for a victory.
You know, rather than all of us getting ticked off because of the galactic-level stupidity of the idiot Leftist (but I repeat myself) writer of this inane review, maybe we can make something positive out of this?
Instead of getting mad, use this as a tactic (in the tradition of Alinsky) to make fun of your nearest and dearest Lefty friends, family and acquaintances. Make fun of some idiot statement of theirs by saying something like, “You idiot, I’ll bet that you’re even upset that the film “Dunkirk” didn’t have women or blacks in it - despite the FACT that there were no women or blacks in combat positions in the British or German armed forces in Dunkirk in 1940. Are you so wedded to your ideology that you can freely dispense with actual, historic, facts? If so, why should anyone listen to you, ever?”
