Praying for a retirement announcement soon. Also prayers for him. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy, not even John McCain.

“The way to get rid of a John McCain is by waking up the voters to his duplicity...Not like this.”

As far as I know, none of us FReepers had anything to do with McCain coming down with this condition - this is God’s work (finally).

As far as taking McCain out through the political process, it would certainly help if the Republican Party would step up to that. They need to have a simple rule: If you’re a Republican from a solid-red state, then you need to behave like a CONSERVATIVE, not a flaming moderate. If you do not...then replacements will be found. But instead people like McCain are DEFENDED by the party, despite all the damage they do to the country.

Graham reminds me of the gangly high school freshman who strikes up an unusual friendship and is taken under the wing of a jock senior.

Now that his senior protector is graduating, so to speak, what is Graham going to do when he's alone on his own?

This is what Ted Kennedy had.

And George Gershwin, Lee Atwater, Slim Pickens, Ethel Merman, William J. Casey...

This is not a good diagnosis, but at least people are doing better with it then they did just 5 years ago, and are doing much better than they did in George Gershwin's time.

At the Mayo Clinic, Sen. McCain is in the best hands.

That’s a hard one to think about for me also. It makes me feel SO human and I cannot see what God sees for these little lives. I sometimes feel the child receives something from a parent in the womb, given to the child. I believe Satan is behind this as God wants us well from birth to death but we introduce ourselves to worldly ways and sin often, even when wanting to be holy. Satan wants us and will try and take what we most love to hurt our relationship with Christ. In whatever situation we are in, from birth to death, we and those around us must pray that Satan leave our life/lives. There IS a battle going on in the heavenlies.

I can tell you that personally we experienced premature twins who were not expected to live. Through prayers of thousands and a believing medical staff, at every point of danger prayers were asked for. For almost two years they were in their church bulletin for prayers and we are blessed with healthy 5 year olds who know the Lord and ask us Jesus questions all the time! We’ve seen miracle after miracle with them and will not let them forget it!!

I hear the same question said about very faithful Christians of all ages. Whether sickness of physical, mental or such things as divorce. Sin is something that makes us cry and also God.

I completely disagree that JM loves this country! What actions has he ever taken that show he loves this nation? He served in the military? Nope. That was just a stepping stone to where he’s at today. Votes conservative? Nope. He should have switched sides early on as he could always be counted on to be a thorn in the side of the GOP. I truly believe he intentionally blew the 2008 election to usher in the age of craziness that was Obama & Co.

I have ZERO respect for the man. He’s a liar and a traitor to this country. The Vietnamese did us a HUGE disservice by sending him home.

That said......my hopes are he goes painlessly but swift.

The Party didn’t elect him ... and it doesn’t keep electing him. The people of Arizona do. And it’s up to them to retire him.

The same goes for his wife, Ms. Graham, and the reprehensible Susan Collins. As long as the voters in their respective states keep returning them to their offices, conservatism will be diluted by their presence.

I’m betting McCain resigns IF, AND ONLY IF, the Arizona governor agrees to name his daughter, Meghan McCain, as his replacement.

Gov Jan Brewer will never agree to that. McCain should agree to resign and try living out the rest of his days with family and resign so Brewer can appoint a REAL conservative to fulfill the rest of his term.

Unfortunately, glioblastoma is basically a death sentence - most people die within 1-2 years of diagnosis.

I never liked the man's politics, but I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

McCain has been a traitor against conservatism for years. I’ll go feel sorry for someone else with cancer, someone who has not helped liberals ruin America for years.

I don't wish anyone whose politics I detest any personal harm. I just wish they would get out of politics and out of public life so I don't have to hear about their political views or live with their consequences. For the fact that McCain is still in politics, blame the voters of Arizona. There's no reason the people of a conservative state couldn't have "primaried" him out years ago.

So I wish McCain as good health as is possible under the circumstances, and an equally swift exit from the Senate to spend time with family and friends, with the hope that Arizona will come to its senses and replace him with a conservative.

My brother had in home Hospice care and they were very good at pain management. I wasn’t there when he went into a coma but my niece told us that the Hospice lady was very good and he was not in any pain. I wanted to ease your mind about your friend.

If it’s a grade 4 GBM then he won’t last long. He needs to go to the Duke Brain Tumor center and get in their trial for the polio treatment they’ve been doing.
